Amazing. Love this place, the food is always amazing, fresh, and hot when it arrives! Best takeaway in Cardiff!
Me and my partner both love the food. Fresh delious meals. Never a bad meal.
Let's talk about sets, baby. Because that's what Katiwok resembles- an explosion of Asian pop-culture that has you half-expecting to see cameras about to roll. Specifically, let's talk about wallpaper. Because the first time you visit Katiwok you might feel you've been punched in the retina by a design graduate who has rather overdone it on the tartrazine. Lurid pinks and greens compete for attention with walls full of artfully tattered posters. Asian cinema dominates, and Crouching Tiger rubs shoulders with Game of Death. Bollywood spectaculars abound; it probably doesn't matter if you don't know your Baldwin from your Bachchan, your Mifune from your Madeley or your Kurosawa from your Coronation Street. Perhaps the intention is to reproduce the sensory overload of life in a bustling Asian city. Clearly, a huge amount of thought and effort has gone in to the concept and the execution: those posters didn't find, tear or paste themselves. Either way, it's very much an acquired taste.
Whilst driving along Crwys Road a couple of weeks ago, the Day-Glo colours and unusual name of a new shop front caught my eye. I didn’t quite catch its name, but a week later a friend recommended a visit to what I realised must be the same place – KatiWok. KatiWok is a new pan-Asian street food diner and takeaway which specialises in Kati rolls (an Indian street food from Kolkata reminiscent of a kebab roll) and Wok-fried noodles. KatiWok’s vivid exterior closely mirrors the interior’s bubble gum banquettes and kaleidoscopic walls covered with Bollywood magazine clippings. It’s pretty funky, and a little reminiscent of a 50's diner on LSD. In fact, KatiWok could quite comfortably be categorised as a fast food joint; their menu is brief and keenly priced, orders are placed at a counter, and their food is served in disposable containers. Lastly, and a little irksomely, food is brought out as and when it’s ready. This meant that Mrs G and I’s dishes were served 5 minutes after one friend
I tried chicken biryani , veg spring rolls loved both reasonable price and friendly staff
We’ve had takeaways from here for the last few years and it’s always been great. I like that they offer something a bit different to usual takeaways with the Kati Rolls (I like the Nepalese spinach and paneer Kati Roll). The onion bhajis and vegetable pakoras are really nice too. You can also choose how hot or mild you’d like your food to be. The food here’s reasonably priced and they deliver to a wide range of areas across Cardiff. I’ve always ordered from their own website.

Ordered from here over the weekend. We had the afghan chicken noodles, afghan chicken rice, indo chinese noodles, masala fries, spring rolls and they put in some free onion bhajis. Everyone enjoyed their food, the quality of the meat was good, and the taste and spices were spot on. We will definitely order from here again. Portions are big, one rice or noodle box offers 2 filling portions, perfect for the next day!
Hint: The extra spicy afghan chicken is definitely extra spicy, we had to pull out a lot of green chillies! The normal spicy version was just enough heat for us, without burning our tongues!
Delivery was quick and within the timeframe stated, and food was hot on arrival. They also do a selection of roti wraps and pizzas, so we'll give these a try next time.
I love Malaysian chicken rice with add on egg , its to yummy 😋 .
The best food in the city in all categories. Love the noodles with chicken and egg. Amount of food is huge, I think in the biggest box was nearly 1000g (1kg). And it's great on the next day - I'm sure you're not gonna eat it at once. Perfect food for very reasonable money. Order was always right, never had any problems with getting something different than I ordered so they keep an eye on this. And the stuff is very very friendly. Sometimes I visit them even 3 times a week when I'm busy and have no time to cook at home. And never regret it. Didn't try other door than noodles cause they're so good but I believe everything else is good as this. Will try pizza soon
Amazing service and delicious food!
We had an issue with their website (payment went through but order wasn’t registered), but they were very helpful when we went there and in the end everything was fine. The owner and staff were very friendly and it shows that they really care about their customers - we will be ordering from them again!
Lovely noodles and a fab meal deal.
Fantastic service - It was very easy to place my order on the phone, the person was very kind and patient! The food is flavorsome, very nicely packaged and unique to most takeaway I have had. I can recommend the beef wrap and the 3 piece sweet & spicy chicken! Delicious!
Probably the best takeaway in Cardiff (I've tried many). The food is outstanding. The paneer and spinach curry is delicious and the fried rice is cooked perfectly. Everything tastes fresh. You can tell they really make an effort to cook truly delicious food. It's the only takeaway that's left me feeling like they care about the quality of the food they serve. Complimentary rice pudding and prawn crackers too.
Absolutely Amazing place to order from/eat in.
Design is very well done. The menu is stunning with pictures and a lot of choices this restaurant has.
The friendly staff is making your food straight away from 3-7 minutes.
I love the way this place makes their food and how they handle the walk-ins whenever it is so busy with delivery.
Recommending for all people who would love to have food from the best ingredients!
I guarantee you will remember this place.
