I have never written a review in my life as normally they get right on my nerves, however; today is the exception to that rule as I have just finished my lunch purchased from the girls at Quay Street Kitchen, I have to say it is by far the best takeaway lunch I have ever had in my 50 years on this planet, to start I had homemade cauliflower soup, I couldn't do it justice by explaining how good it was, followed by a ploughman's sour dough baguette with red onion relish,, OMG perfection, followed by a food coma, absolutely nailed it, well done girls

The best sandwich shop I've been to, and by far the best in Cardiff. The food is full of flavour and, more importantly, passion.

Love this place. The sandwiches are great and are literally made in front of you with fresh, well sourced ingredients. If you are up for a bit of foodie exploration then this is your place, with exotic salads and great recommendations from the owner you'll be trying something new ib no time!

My wife and I were in a bit of a rush to catch a bus for a day at St. Fagans Museum when we noticed this place and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. We knew we had found some place special when the owner knew the person ordering ahead of us and the two people after us (lots of regulars!). Incredibly fast, friendly service and two astoundingly good sandwiches later, we grew envious of every person in Cardiff working so close to this gem. Their ham and two-cheese panini was just incredible. Every piece of it a glorious reimagining of a classic. And they had a brisket special which was just outstanding. I like to think I know what good brisket tastes like as a native Texan and this was definitely very, very good brisket. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the neighborhood.

Had to scroll and find who gave the poor reviews and no surprise that they've not left an actual review so I'm guessing they haven't had any food here. The lady who owns the place is a gem, real lovely lady who packs the sandwiches so full. The filling selection is amazing. Best tuna sandwich I've had in forever. Then theres the salads. If you eat in the plate is piled high with the most amazing flavours. I cant wait for it to open again after Christmas.

The 'Mississippi' is one of the best sandwiches I've eaten in Cardiff town. Always extremely fresh tasting ingredients. Quality food, lovely staff and just a great place.

This is for sure a hidden gem of Cardiff. We stopped in on a whim and were beyond delighted with our lunch. I was indecisive about what I wanted for lunch and the staff there offered to make me a wrap based on what I told them I liked. My husband got the Mississippi for his meal. This was far and away the best lunch we had the whole trip! Fresh, healthy and affordable with great service-couldn't ask for anything else!

Amazing Ottolenghi inspired salads and the best cup of tea I’ve had in ages. Lovely staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Ditch the chain options and come here for lunch instead!

This is the best food I have had in Cardiff. Fine cuisine quality and healthy too. My husband had a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and salad + home made brownie. I had quinoa and a mix salad from heaven! Their vegan and vegetarian options are fab. I love their new look and menus. Clean and modern. The new management and staff are super friendly and the price is right. Highly recommended! As I said, best food ever!

I had a jacket potato with grilled vegetables and cheese today which was really delicious. As I was waiting for my potato I was spoiled with a nice little bowl of soup. The staff is really, really friendly, the prices are good and the food is just mhhhhmmm. So go there! :)
