Superb pint of Guinness in The Packet. I'm from Cardiff and can't believe I've never set foot in here before. Definitely missed out!! Very well kept pub in a lovely old building.

Great pub on the edge of mermaid quay. Lovely original finishes remain throughout, nice little beer garden and plenty of TVs to watch a range of sports. Lovely atmosphere and friendly bar staff with great selection of drinks available. Would definitely stop here again

Excellent old skool traditional pub. The landlord knows how to make a friendly atmosphere in an area full of "bars" not pubs.

Absolutely amazing staff! Warm welcome and so helpful. Couldn't do enough to help me and I'll be forever grateful. Thank you :) In addition, really friendly people and a lush atmosphere. If I lived closer I'd definitely visit again.

Have visited this pub off & on over the years; the current manager & team are fantastic! Rachel knows what she's talking about when it comes to gin & mixers... fillow her advise!!!!

Visited on and off for years but going more regular recently as find the place has gone so much more inviting with the refurb, Aisha especially is great, always helpful and chatty. Place is warm and comfortable like you're sat in your own house and the 80s music on the TVs is a MASSIVE plus in my eyes. Drinks are reasonably priced and the place is kept clean. Live sports are shown and they have live music on the weekends. Great historic pictures in the building too including the map on the clock.

went to The Packet for the first time in about 10 years this afternoon, great service and still feels like a proper community pub, will be back

The welcoming at the Packet was great, I sing in a choir and after our spot in The coal exchange, went to The Packet and what a great traditional pub definitely go back 😀
