Popped in for the first time in years ( It's not that local to us) Had some nice ales and wines and a good value meal. The beef curry was really nice. Will call in again soon. P&T. (Caerffili)

Really appreciate you are sensitive to people with food allergies. I was visiting Cardiff, family live here, for two weeks. I visited your establishment three times as I felt very comfortable and enjoyed all the food. Your staff were great.

Nice warm easy friendly atmosphere. Nice welcome and all staff very friendly and helpful. Dogs were welcomed and even given some ham ! Food was reasonably priced and tasty. Impressed with the quick service between ordering and receiving our meal. Thank you

We arrived just before the switch over from the Sunday menu to the main menu. The waiter wasn't certain of the process but explained to us that he'd check and came back quickly explaining that we could order from the full menu if we were prepared to wait about 10 minutes, otherwise the Sunday menu options (minus the roasts) were available now. We were happy to wait. The beer was good, welcome was reasonable. We ordered a little later, the food arrived promptly. It was tasty, but my only criticism was that the steak was medium well/well done, when we asked for medium rare. I didn't say anything, we were hungry and I wanted to get my son home. Plus it was a mixed grill so it doesn't matter so much if one item isn't right. Otherwise it was all really nice.

Lovely welcome when we arrived. Staff were very helpful throughout. Busy time when we called, and it was explained a new member of staff was in the kitchen, but they all did a great job in keeping us informed. Lovely meal for all four of us in our party. We had to leave early due to an unrelated issue with one of our elderly guests, and before we had our dessert. We returned within half an hour, and resumed dining again with excellent understanding from the staff.

..we booked the downstairs room for a retirement party ..we were allowed to decorate & change the layout as we wanted!
We ordered the "gold buffet".. which was absolutely excellent .. a vast choice of food & plenty of it.. & so many compliments too!
The staff were fabulous ... nothing was too much bother!.. extremely accommodating!
We had a fabulous night celebrating..& would definitely recommend the Ffynnon Wen for any future events.

Been here today for a family meal. There was a large group of us. We ordered our meal quickly and it come out in good time. We had desserts too which were very tasty.
Our serves Alex and emmie were very attentive and made sure we were well looked after.
Nick behind the bar was very friendly, he was having a laugh and joke with one of our smaller guests at lunch making her laugh
