Blue Honey Local

I was at blue honey local for my sisters 50th (she rented their yurt). The space was fun, staff charming and helpful, the booze flowed nicely and OMG the vegan and vegetarian food they prepped was amazing. Totally mindblowing. I travelled to Cardiff from the Isle of Wight, which is no mere hop... and would make the journey again just for the food here..

Before Blue Honey Local there was Milgi's and BHL has adopted the same decor, ambience and ethos as Milgi's serving vegetarian and vegan food in an open kitchen. There's a Yurt out the back that is nice and cosy but could do with being warm, it was a bit chilly inside. Theres also an outside seating area which could do with more and better heating. There was a jazz band on the Saturday evening which meant that seating was quite sparse, I dont know how often they have bands playing there. Try the Ginger Joe cocktails for something warming that's got a kick to it. The bar staff are friendly and although we had to queue for drinks we didn't have to queue for long.
