We booked Romano Pizzeria for our wedding reception and we are so pleased we did. They arrived on time to set up the night before and were very friendly and worked with us to make sure they were going to serve exactly what we wanted. They didn’t need much room which was a blessing in the limited space we had. They served on time and efficiently so that all the guests had hot food to sober them up. Everyone loved the pizza, we had so many comments about it and there was plenty to go around. Once everyone was sufficiently fed they packed up and left without issue which was very much appreciated on such a hectic day! We researched a few similar caterers and Romano was the cheapest and most accommodating. I’d highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you for making our day what it was! X
Really great find in the market hall. You tell it's good because a good proportion of the lunch time customers were Italian. One the best pizzas/ calzone we have had outside of Italy. The coffee is good and the prices make it a real bargain. Finally the staff are friendly. We will be back again!
They say the “Best Pizza in Town” and who am I to argue? It is great pizza and it is served Roma style so you can choose your slice and they pop it in the oven to be heated up. They are located in the Old Market Hall so the ambience is what it is. They do have a number of tables so if you eat-in you can watch the parade of people. They do a brisk take-away business. You can also order whole pizzas to eat-in or take-away. They have a selection of soft drinks and Birra Moretti. Romano Pizzeria is a taste of Italy right in the midst of Carlisle.
Had a quick lunch here on a Saturday. Both slices of pizza were excellent and really good value. The service was quick and friendly. It's a takeaway place really but there are plastic tables you can sit at opposite. Definitely worth a visit.

Situated inside the indoor market in town centre. By far the best pizza joint I have ever been too. Huge selection of slices & calzone . Seriously tasty, and an absolute treat to go to. All pizzas are freshly made from scratch, and you choose your slice of choice. They are really filling. Great value for money.
You'll never want to go to any other pizza place ever again. Trust.
Amazing pizza! I came here as I'd heard so many people tell me it was the best pizza in Carlisle and that is absolutely true- I now come here most days on my dinner break for a slice of Garlic Chicken pizza and a fantastic Italian coffee.
The staff are so incredibly friendly and fast and attentive, and today I was given a little unexpected gift which made me so happy. Thank you!

We come to Carlisle every couple of months to visit relatives and when we're in town my daughters beg to eat here. Lovely, fresh baked, unpretentious, authentic pizza and arancini at reasonable prices. "This is 1000 times better than MacDonalds". Apparently.
Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Thin and crispy, with a good range of toppings. Sold by the slice or in 9" and 12" pizzas. Service is friendly and speedy. Seating area is simple, functional and clean. Really good value for money and family friendly. They also do great coffee. A real find!
Honestly the nicest pizza place in Carlisle, a little on the expensive side. But worth every penny. Been multiple times and haven’t been let down once.
Amazing pizza! First time trying as we’ve visited from Dublin. Pizza is so fresh and chips too. Service is excellent also, they are so quick. Highly recommend 👍🏼
