There's loads of seating with plenty of space. The pub was well maintained and had a nice feeling about it.
There's the normal good Wethersfield menu with something for everyone. Service was quick, and the food was nice and hot. Gets pretty busy but seems to be quieter than the one just up the street.

Very, very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Only one person pulling pints for a good five minutes, then help appeared. Got the queue down fairly fast then. App was problematic trying to order food, so back to the bar to a bigger queue... and that was with 3 or 4 serving. Food arrived in half the time I queued to order! Delicious as well!!! Super tasty & super hot. Price wise it's great, thus so busy!!!

Standard Wetherspoons experience. A go to place for decent food and service at an affordable price. Funny that there are two Wetherspoons with a block of each other in Carlisle. Maybe not funny in that they were both doing a brisk business in the early afternoon that we were there.

Very busy when we visited but a good atmosphere as is usual in most 'Spoons' I've drank & ate in. Served at the bar quite quickly then at the table for drinks & food equally so. Plenty of choices on the menu. An added bonus was the toilets on the ground floor! First time ever!! We enjoyed our evening and stayed put instead of touring other bars.

Usual but good Wetherspoons experience food was to usual for the price its always good little disappointed with just one mushroom on the plate with a steak etc but was pleasant enough to fill my hungry self. Excellent table service as always and a very clean and well-kept pub.

Very busy place, not enough staff. waited over half an hour for a drink, and they had to take down the table ordering service as they couldn't keep up with the demand. Bar was 6 deep. Shame as its a nice bar otherwise

Absolutely belting boozer, deserves 5 stars for the pizzas alone. Pints aren’t bad either 👍🏼

Very good food but the atmosphere needs to be worked on. It was a crowded weekend. Tables were left uncleared and unclean. The service at the counter was slow , it was a long wait. This place is not advisable for people on a business road trip trying to get a quick meal or drinks. But if you're patient enough, the food is marvelous.
