Well after a 13 hour journey I wanted a good meal to finish my day. Thank you Bari Restaurant for a fantastic meal, next time I am in Carlisle with work or family guess where I am going to be wanting to go. Highly recommended. Fresh, great flavour food. If you don't come here while visiting Carlisle your missing out.

This restaurant was 5*. The food was amazing. My partner had a bison dish and it was just delicious. The staff were so friendly. They advised on what to order to go with the new taste of bison. The naan bread was huge 😄
Easily fed 3 of us.
Nothing was too much trouble. The chef Bari came out and had a lovely chat with us. Next time we go he is going to cook us something special. Can't wait. My partner said best Curry House he has ever been too.

Bari are currently open at weekends for takeaway and delivery only. After a long set of shifts I was not in the mood for cooking, so I tried Bari. Honestly, the food is amongst the best “Indian” food I have ever had. Well cooked and seasoned and not flooded with ghee. Not the cheapest but definitely amongst the best! Also, a very kind discount for NHS staff was greatly appreciated

I truly feel happy every time I order food from Bari.
He goes beyond the normal cooking, it’s simply the best for Indian cuisine. I can say this even after have tried different styles of Indian cuisine even in many Asian countries.

I wonder if you all know what's the real taste of Bangladeshi cuisine..in this place the food was not that good.The lady was very kind but the man instead,the cook, started to talk and talk..quite annoying and nasty. If you look for a good indian restaurant in Carlisle go to Shaha, not here. Never again

Visited only because it was close to the museum we'd driven from Notts to see. Unprepossessing location but the food was absolutely superb, the staff friendly and the chef/owner knowledgeable and happy to see that we had the best experience possible of his efforts. The best "curry" we've had for years! Worth a BIG detour to visit again. (Museum is quite good, too!)

Grabbed a takeaway from Bari on an overnight stay during pandemic, and based on the reviews. Absolutely out of this world. Cod Pakora to die for, Salmon Masala ditto. And the best garlic naan I've had in years.
Lovely owner too - a great bloke with a special place here. 👏👏👏
