Modernised pub with wide menu and good food. Interesting interior with a real tree, steam train pictures and even a detailed model railway layout that runs around the large dining area, created by the freindly owner. Great food, chilled atmosphere. A good visit for tain fans and hungry folk alike.

Extensive vegan menu, backed up by very knowledgeable staff. We visited with a party of 5 and were all very happy with our meals.
The staff are welcoming and friendly and the pub itself has a great atmosphere.
Would highly recommend the Rose and Crown if you are looking for somewhere to eat 😊

Lovely place to stop instead of the M6 services if you are happy to take the A6 between M6 junctions. Nice pub. Loved the fact that there was a good range of veggie and vegan options, but good other food, beer, service and welcome as well. Hope things settle down after Covid-19!!!

Best ever choice of veggie meals.... think there are about 21 to choose from amazing....sampled 2 so far.. both lovely....... hubby enjoyed his chicken dish also

Great menu here. If you are veggie the choice on the vegetarian menu is amazing. A warm welcome and lovely staff, interesting and unusual decor, lots of historical detail.

We found this lovely pub through our Britstop book. Spent the night here and have a great meal. The veggie menu is extensive and unusually my husband was completely spoilt for choice! The staff were very friendly and we had a really good evening here. Will definitely be back when in the area!

Just had a beautiful meal here, lovely surroundings & great staff, I'm gluten & diary intolerent & find it difficult to have sauces, starters & sweets but managed to have all 3 they couldn't have been more obliging. Great veggie menu for my daughter. A really lovely menu, well done!!!

We're lucky enough to be fairly local, just a 25 min drive. Definitely our favourite pub! As a vegetarian or vegan you will find the best choice of meals for miles around! Meat and fish lovers are very well catered for too. Staff look after you well, the decor is quirky and interesting, atmosphere relaxed and cosy, and the food is great! Not forgetting the traditional bar of course.

The most amazing place for vegetarian & vegan food. 5 pages of choices! Very friendly staff, cosy restaurant with really interesting memorabilia. Discovered it through Brit Stops (overnight parking for camper vans) <3
