Very nice hotel, nice staff, amazing breakfast. Worth noting they only do a breakfast no lunch or evening meal. Drinks ate a little pricey but tgey had my favourite Asahi on draught. Highly reccommend staying.

A beautiful place. House and gardens. I suggest to add some gentle music in the breakfast area always helps. 😀

Stunning place. Really welcoming staff. Perfect for a wedding venue, absolutely gorgeous. Room 1 is huge!! Tonnes of space. Big bed. Spa Bath. Great selection of teas and coffees. Hotel is clean. Breakfast is lovely. Even the radiators have ornate detailing. It’s just a beautiful place. Highly recommend for any length of stay. No food apart from Breakfast is served, but the town is 10 minutes drive and a pub is nearby. One thing, sorry, but this place isn’t haunted. Have the best time. We lived our stay.

Such a beautiful location and friendly staff. Our room was no.1 and included a spa bath. So relaxing to just admire the gardens or sit in the beautiful rooms located around this 15th century location

Fantastic stay! We took full advantage of the jacuzzi bath and comfy four poster bed in our room. Reception and night staff were lovely and welcoming - made us feel very at home. Breakfast was amazing, we left full of pastries and cooked english - lots of options. Even had time for a morning chess match, would recommend!

A really lovely old baronial home set ready for a wedding. Lots of interesting nooks and very atmospheric - has a number of ghosts in residence ... watch out rooms 4 - 6! Rooms are well-appointed with a very comfortable bed, TV and plenty of tea/coffee facilities. There's no restaurant but staff will lend you crockery and cutlery if you want to order in. There's a bar in the evening too. Breakfast was excellent, not only a self-service area but a range of cooked dishes and all very tasty. The staff are lovely. Nice gardens, lots of parking - all bedrooms are upstairs with no lift available.

Magnificent! A baronial stronghold first built by my ancestors in the 16th century, and expanded by their heirs through the 17th, Dalston Hall still stands a proud guardian over Northern England's scenic Lakes District. And I'm not talking one of the many stone ruins dotting the landscape throughout the British Isles, Dalston Hall is a living, breathing palace, a tribute to medieval craftsmanship, and all those who have painstakingly and lovingly restored and maintained it through the centuries. Dalston Hall now serves as a luxury hotel (for the lucky few who can book a reservation) and a premium wedding venue offering breathtaking indoor and outdoor accommodations, plus outstanding dining. Walking through the building is like wandering a private museum with paintings adorning every wall, accented by sculptures, master crafted furniture and architectural flourishes throughout. Attention to detail is meticulous. The grounds are equally stunning with centuries old stone walls and archways leading you from one secret garden to the next, and the next, and... The staff was excellent, and charming, particularly Sabrina who treated us to a private tour of the old "family home" and chatted enthusiastically about this "beautiful lady" and her long history. We can't recommend Dalston Hall enough as a top quality, unique place to stay, or as a destination wedding venue. However, be warned: Despite the admonition that no one should look better than the bride on her wedding day, this Grand Dame can compete with the most comely princess.
