It's my go to local and favourite pub in Chester. No food, a proper "wet pub" Nice coal fire in the winter.

This Chester real ale bar is rightfully in the good beer guide it has 4 great real ales on it, and it is a 100% proper locals old-fashioned pub
Staff on my visit ace locals ace and yoilets good
The decor is virtually unspoilt from the day it was built

Great pub, highly recommend. One of the few pubs in Chester that still has the traditions and character of a proper old fashioned boozer: dart board, live fire, great cask ale. If you're in Chester and you like pubs this place is a must
