Stopped here on a road trip with hubby and the venue, food and service was excellent. We both had the lamb shank and it was beautifully presented and certainly didn’t disappoint, we also had a lemon pudding to share which was also amazing. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit if you’re in the area 👍 thank you 😊

We were passing through and found The Courthouse thanks to other strong recommendations. We managed to get a walk-in, but it was busy. Very friendly staff and a great menu. Would thoroughly recommend.

Cannot fault my last visit. I had the fish pie. Homemade awesomeness in a super heated bowl. Food has always been top notch. From roasts to burgers. Recommended!

Popped in for late dinner good service lucky to get a table. Food great this and its sister pud The Wooden Fender (Ardleigh) 2 off the best in the area by a country mile in my humble opinion.
Average cost meal starter and main drink around £30 a head obviously dependant on what you have. Their steaks are great!!!

My wife and I had lunch here for the first time in quite a few years. The food looked and tasted fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful and despite being quite busy, there were no long waits between ordering and our courses. You pay for what you get and here you get great quality, well cooked food, presented beautifully. It certainly won't leave you hungry when you leave!

Took friends there today for their 1st time with their dog, the staff were very friendly and polite. As well as our meals they provided water and a snack for the dog. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but my Tomahawk pork chop was exceptionally tasty. Lovely to have such a lovely place close by

If I could only give 8 stars. Booked only as hotel near to where I needed to be was full. I am so happy , will only book here from now on. Menu to die for, service that was on another level. Rooms more than adequate. If you are a major hotel chain , come here and see happy efficient intelligent staff giving awesome service.

The food is huge and amazing, however the staff are off the planet for giving you the best experience. So grateful to have independent places that care so much about whatever you are celebrating! Great place. Fantastic menu. Thank you. We can't thank you enough.

Went for a lunchtime meal. Food was really good. About £17.50 for a main course. I had Hake in a Lobster cream sauce. And I thought it good value for money. Premises was very clean and the Ladies commented on how clean the toilets were. Service was pleasant and efficient. Only improvement I could suggest was the chilli sauce came out in a plastic pot, a small ramekin type dish would have been a slightly better presentation. But that is all I can fault. That's being a bit petty I know. Excellent.

Lovely evening work meal had here a couple of weeks ago. There was quite a few of us so unfortunately had to sit on two different tables due to room sizes but no big deal. Great service and food. Been here before with a small group and absolutely lovely then too! Will definitely be returning 😁
