I love this place the best restaurant in Coventry I love the atmosphere the Hostess was very friendly even though we didnt have a booked table we were sat right away then our server George came over and greeted us and the manager even brought over the drinks this was an amazing experience I had the XXXL Roadhouse burger this was awesome my fiancée had the Kansas style bbq glazed ribs and they were fantastic my daughter had the kids macaroni meal this was great for her I will always return here this place is my favourite restaurant I have been 3 times so far with friends and family and each time has been better than the last all round 5 stars two thumbs up for the food the drinks the service and the atmosphere!!!!!!
Have been countless times to hickory's and have always enjoyed everything about it; the food, the atmosphere and the staff. But I've always put off leaving a review.
However, after spending last night at their Superbowl event I felt compelled to leave this one at long last.
My friend and I had a great night and half way through we felt a bit peckish and decided to order some fried chicken from their Superbowl menu. Unfortunately I had to ask twice after waiting 40 minutes for the food which hadn't arrived. Once it was delivered it was delicious as always, and the staff couldn't apologise enough and made every effort to make their mistake right again.
I didn't make a fuss about the wait, it was busy and I didn't expect it to be quick, but the compensation for my wait was more than adequate and just cemented my opinion that the restaurant and their staff are some of the most engaged, welcoming and caring I've ever come across. I'd be very proud to have them as my employees.
Fun place to go as a group.
The food is great, and the portions are very descent.
We shared some starters with 2 others, and it was a great way to try lots of different dishes.
The service was great , all the staff very polite and smiley.

Where to start? I was long due a visit to this restaurant, heard so many good things throughout the years that I had to tried it, specially being a big fan of all kind of meats. I must say, coming in it does feel like you're getting into an American restaurant, the decorations, the music, the all vibe is very welcoming and pleasant. All staff was really kind, specially the waiter that looked after our table. Our table was ready with the menus which I found them quite charming, kinda looked like a newspaper but with, the menu. We ordered the platter which has a bit of everything, kids had a buguer and hotdog which were ok for a kids meal. The main character, full platter, I don't know if it was because I built to much expectations, but it did lacked a bit, portion wise was ok, but was expecting like an American sized platter if you know what I mean. The meats were good, but maybe because of the time I booked (2pm) and the meats, being smoked for so many hours, might have started to dry out a bit maybe...? Was expecting the meats to be juicy and tender like something I never tried before, however the food was a tad too dry. The whole experience was good, but lacked a bit mainly in the tenderness of the meats, and the quantity, still I recommend a visit, you might have better luck. I will visit again, different time thou, earlier definitely.
Excellent American style food. Highly recommend. I ordered Texas platter and it was full meat feast. The beef was so tender and juicy. I love cheese sausage dipped in sauce.
Discovered this restaurant by chance when staying nearby and OMG what a result. From the moment I walked in and was hit by the awesome American smokehouse smells, to the free popcorn and iced water whilst we looked through the menu. We had a Tuesday special hog heaven which was a mountain of delishousness. The ribs and wings were fab, the fried crispy and the bbq pit beans just wow. Loved the pulled pork and crispy pork scratchings. We left full and bowled over by the great value and brilliant service by the friendly staff. Will definitely return.
Had a good time at Hickory’s, the ultimate spot for some good old American smokehouse grub in the UK.
The menu is loaded with all the classics you’d expect from a legit smokehouse joint. We went for the sharing platter, and it was tender, and packed with flavor, it could have been a little juicier though. The smoke ring on that meat was a thing of beauty! The atmosphere was laid-back and chill, with that rustic vibe that just feels right for a place like this. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick.
Prices were reasonable. It’s the kind of place you can roll up to with a group of friends, and leave with happy bellies and big smiles.
Recently came here for dinner with friends. The food was amazing, highly recommend going for the sharing platter as it's well worth it! Great service from our waiter too. Only downside was that the toilets weren't in a great condition.. regular cleaning for a busy restaurant is a must!
I’ve been coming to this place for about 2 years now and it still remains one of my favourite places. The food is amazing and even some of my pickiest friends acknowledged that. The staff and the whole setup especially the garden are great. I would recommend anyone to check it out. As I was mentioning the food is amazing especially the smoked menu. I have to admin though that the burgers are not necessarily up to my standards but everything else is great. I will continue to come here.
Came here for my 21st. Absolutely loved my whole time. Food was 10/10. Service was 10/10. Staff were prompt, attentive and very very kind. Would return here without a shadow of a doubt

Staff made sure that our visit was special “25 Birthday” of my daughter.
At our table we enjoyed Frickles, Pulled Pork, Seabass, Go Big Burger and a (12oz) Cowboy Rump.

Great for gluten free. I had the platter for one and it was perfectly cooked, great quality and massive. Pictured is only one half of the menu as I forgot to photo the other half. Very safe and well looked re. food intolerances. Bit noisy but that s because it's popular. The background music helped.
