Lovely canal side pub next to the A5 so road and boat travellers abound. Wonderful smiley barmaid welcome who just bounded around with a natural ability, (rather than your typical grunting oik) lovely pub food at competitive prices and a decent pint of Pedrigree bitter 😃. Plenty of tables inside and canal side seating too, right next to a lock. Mooring wise we walked past quite a few private moorings to the west to get to the pub and after found a delightful canal/antique shop to the east.

Great pub to watch the world go by and enjoy a great meal or just a pint and some nibbles. The added bonus being the stupid boaters that come by on hire boats, you will be sure to get a laugh as they completely mess up the locks! 🤣🛥️🛥️🛥️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️🛶🛶🛶🚢🚢🚢🚢🛶

Dog friendly nice little pub! Found it a little pricy on food/drink (pint £4.40-90, ham egg and chips £10 and sandwich £8.50 with chips). Lovely location though and I would go back
