We go here about once a month and this place is outstanding. There are seven of us and we have never waited for anything. The food is great and reasonably priced and the service is quick and friendly. The best hungry horse in the country and I have been to a few

We haven't eaten here for donkeys even though we live really close, this was because at the time, the food and or the service wasn't up to scratch, however we went in yesterday on the off chance and really enjoyed the experience. We had the chicken new yorker and tandoori chicken sizzler from the super specials menu and then crumble and sticky toffee pud for desserts. All delicious and all affordable. Well done all

This was our second time we've visited here over the past few weeks and on both occasions has been stress free family meal. Great food and drinks and all the staff are very polite are always there to tend your needs whatever it may be. Will definitely be returning again in the near future. This pub is incredible especially with the every growing cost of Eating out. Myself ordering a main side and drink coming a grain over £18 was incredible. The service here cannot be faulted, Jessie and Max were amazing checking up on our food and how we were. The atmosphere is amazing and appropriate for anyone including those with kids. Cannot recommend enough.

The speed of what the food is ordered and then placed in front of you is probably one of the fastest services iv come across, and the food has always been great the only reason for the 4/5 stars for food is because of the kids menu. I personally feel that there could be a wider range of choices of food and drinks for the kids and maybe a range of portion sizes. My two are 6 &4, so adult meals are too much and the kids' meals aren't quite big enough. That being said, overall we would always recommend The Merlin.

Love the service. Staff are so polite.
A food item was overcooked, and they offered to change straight away.
The play area needs a spruce up.
But kids all seem to get on with playing nicely.
Wheelchair access and spaces available.
Not sure about toilets. Not used them yet.

I visited at 5.30pm on a Monday afternoon and there were choice of tables to sit at. The pub was half full and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food arrived in 15 minutes from ordering. I had the vegan mushroom pie which was much nicer than expected. For desserts we had chocolate fudge cake and vegan berry crumble both of which were good. I would definitely visit again. We used the app to order which automatically applied a promotion offer on "pub classics", the price was good value. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Visited The Merlin for breakfast with friends. We’d booked a table but didn’t need to as it wasn’t busy at all. Ordered a full English breakfast, toast, tea and apple juice for just under £9-bargain! Service was good, greeted with a smile. The good came out really hot but not all at the same time. Food was ok, started the day off nicely!

Absolutely amazing service from all members of staff. Sasha and Max took our orders and helped with our fussy order. Matt made sure all our food was to a good standard and cleared our plates away quickly, he asked if everything was okay and asked if we wanted any desserts hot drinks or sofr drinks! Absolutely fab service!

Came this morning for breakfast and the service by Amy on the bar was outstanding. Was really helpful when I had questions about their new menu. The food was brought out quick and tasted amazing. Jade who brought it would was always smiling and came over to ensure that everything was alright with our meals.
