What a fantastic restaurant. The food was very good and generous sized portion's.
Shiraz was a brilliant host making sure we were all ok.

Attentive staff, delicious hot food - very authentic & nice atmosphere. Impressed with everything, even the cookie dough dessert & milkshake!. I'll try the waffles next time though.
Parking is free after 6pm I believe.

Couldn’t fault the food and friendly service. Probably the most authentic curry in many years. Had a great chat with Shiraz who was very friendly and went the extra mile to make the experience very memorable. I will definitely return and highly recommend this excellent restaurant.
We were visiting England from the Netherlands and stopped over in Derby for a night. Reading the good reviews, we decided to have dinner here and the reviews didn't lie. The service was very good, and Shiraz very kindly helped us when we had a little issue with parking. The food was delicious, very flavourful and for after we had dessert and complimentary tea.
Overall, it was a really nice meal and I would recommend anyone to come and enjoy a meal here. Thanks to Shiraz and all the staff!
Awesome service, very instagram-able, great mixed grill, however always check waiters when it comes to certain curries as they adapt some of the dishes for 'local English taste buds' and not apna.
The waiter however was awesome in picking this up and change the dish for one we'd prefer as good will.
Must place to visit in Derby if your feeling the need for desi munch!

My second time visiting Tarka, have to say this restaurant keeps getting better. The food is amazing and I especially love the options to have food cooked to my preference as all the meals are prepared freshly to order.
Having grown up in Birmingham and being no stranger to good curries, I have to say Tarka stands out as my favourite ever restaurant. As not only is the food fantastic the staff and service are excellent and always attentive.
Can’t recommend Tarka enough and really look forward to my next visit to Derby.

Best place I've had in Derby. Staff are intelligent and mannered, food is amazing delicious, there's a lot of attention to detail, facilities are clean and well decorated. Price of food is very reasonable.
Myself and 18 of my work friends visited Tarka on a Saturday night the food was absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing! We all had such a good night. I took some cheesecake home in a takeaway box and it was possibly the best cheesecake I’ve ever had!! I will definitely be returning soon!
