If you're Gluten Free then you've really got to come here. Absolutely amazing, a real treat having gf battered fish. And if you've room left then having the gf banana fritters is a must! 10/10 😋

You don't expect fine dining in a chip shop, and you get a fabulous chip shop atmosphere at Palmerston. Plus you get a widely varied menu - all the fried things that go with chips, pizza, wings and a big selection of Italian ice cream (Gelato?). We'd go back!

Amazing classic style chip shop cafe, service is top notch and the food isn't greasy.
We sat in, served quickly and I got my sons pal an old fashioned nickerbocker glory ice cream desert. It was massive!
Well worth the visit, I'll be back.

We were In Dumfries last night and said to the people we were with that we were going for a chippy. They recommended you. It didn’t disappoint. All freshly prepared while you waited. We actually sat in. What a busy place, everyone seemed to be ordering fish too. Chips are excellent and the fish was just fantastic, that batter. There’s a huge selection of ice creams too. Too full this time but definitely going to have next time I’m there.

Nice place, good selection and a nice fish supper. Kids chicken nuggets were a bit stingy in only giving 3 nuggets but they were nice.
