Just been in with my husband with a groupon for 2 course lunch for 2. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was worth it, it was delicious and plentiful. Staff were friendly and attentive. It was quiet when we were in. 5* food and service . Will definitely be back!
Popped in for lunch, discovered it was the annual Blues weekend, so hung around for some of the performances.
Party of 4, ordered various burgers, Panini & baguette options - all delicious and decent portions. Soup of the day (chicken & mixed peppers) was clearly homemade and see with warm bread. Staff friendly & attentive as always.
Friendly staff, good filling food with a generous portion size. Was in while a noisy family were there and the bar man came and apologized about the inconvenience - a credit to the house. Seems quiet these days, a shame for such a nice place.
£2.50 for any drink! You can't go wrong. The food was nice and the staff were friendly. It was a bit of a shock to find the prices were different upstairs in the function room but you don't pay for the use of it so I can understand why.
Agreed. A couple of years ago it was pretty dire. Since then, I have been back a good few times and I have seen it improve so much with the new owners. It might be worth while giving it another go especially as Christmas approaches. The food is much better and the place is more comfortable. I like it.

Been doorman hear 14 weeks lovely and intimate with small bands in the diwnstair lounge and beautifull spacious upstair function room bar staff and doorman excelellent thinking of having my own engagemeent party there .
Bought a groupon voucher for soup and baguette or paninni for 2.best value for money iv spent on groupon soup was amazing and great choice of paninis as well and staff really friendly.give it a try
Been for lunch a few times, always get the soup & panini option, big portions and lovely soup everytime. Will definitely be back.
Had a lovely lunch ,but what made it special was the service ,the girls were lovely and soup delicious
