5 of us dropped in here for a quick cuppa and a cake, fella on the till was very friendly and explained that the cafe was closing shortly but we could take our time and not to rush. Due to it closing soon limited choice of snack but that was our fault for leaving the visit far too late, would definitely go again ut try to go earlier.
I visited St.Wilfrid's hospice this morning for the first time.I went as a priest visiting a parishioner. I just wanted to say the gentleman on the welcome station was so very welcoming and the lady that guided me to the room I wanted was charming. What a wonderful atmosphere these people create. They do a wonderful work and perhaps don't always realise how their attitude helps others. God bless them I say.
So very friendly here, the staff are wonderful and always ready to help. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced, a nice little shop with lots of items to be sold, altogether it's well worth a visit
Nice and quiet and peaceful when having coffee ☕ roast dinner on Sunday well cooked and fresh.
Lovely gardens, cafe and staff. Wall of dark wallpaper with dark flowers I wasnt keen on in the room. More airing and natural light always good. Maybe steam clean so less cleaning product smell, the Montifore has the nicest cleaning product smell I've experienced :D Wilfrids still smells a thousand times better than a standard hospital. Easy access. Beds like clouds so very comfortable. Everything you need to be looked after and make easy.
Lovely cafe in the entrance to the hospice. Lovely calm and peaceful experience. Great staff many whom are volunteers. Will definitely revisit. Donations greatly needed.
My Mum passed away yesterday in her own home with her husband of 70 years holding her hand my dad's wishes, it was because of St Wilfreds this was made possible. They were amazing, supporting me and dad every inch of the way for 2 weeks ..night and day.. I'm so truly grateful. Thank you to all staff..you really are all Angels x

My Mum spent her final days here before she passed away , and the Drs and staff were so amazing in supporting my family and I will never forget how they took care of us and made sure we were as ok as we could have been , big respect to this place and one day I hope I can give something back
St Wilfrid's cared for my sister Sarah for the last four weeks before she died at the hospice. Through all that time, every member of the staff - both professional and volunteers - were truly wonderful and caring. Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah, whatever the time of day or night. After her funeral, St Wilfrid's was more than happy to let us hold her wake in the family area at the end of The Street. Everyone made our family and friends - including two very small and very mobile children - tremendously welcome, and provided us with a delicious buffet of sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, tea and coffee. Thank you to everyone at this happy, light-filled and peaceful place. You will be in our thoughts and prayers for always. Richard & Susan.
