I was enjoying with some friends a couple of nights ago the delicious food in this restaurant. Quiet atmosphere, really nice food and very good service. Chef stepped out the kitchen to ask personally how was everything. Highly recommended!! Lamb tasted amazing...

Went for a meal in the evening. I liked that it was small and had lovely lights. Great ambience. Had the tagines and both the lamb and veggie ones were delicious. Finished with sweet and yummy baklava. Would happily return.

Having not long returned from Turkey, we yearned for some good Turkish bites. We missed the fresh and tangy salads, their tender, moreish meat kebabs, their all-too-sugary desserts. And so, led by our stomachs, we headed to Pera. Though quite centrally located, near Edinburgh’s entertainment centre, the Omni Centre, you could easily walk by Pera and think little of it. Pera is small and unassuming, with a café (rather than restaurant) feel. Snaking our way through the assault course of chairs and tables, we squashed into our seats. The room was nicely decorated, with Turkish lanterns hanging from the ceiling, and a buzz from the other patrons, though it’s probably not the best place to visit if you’re claustrophobic.

Friendly little place tucked away at the top of the bustle of Leith Walk, which I was intrigued by after reading about it in The Sunday Times. Having just recently tried Turkish coffee for the first time too I wanted to venture there for breakfast and a caffeine hit and went on a sunny Saturday morning (they're only open for breakfast at the weekend).
Though the decor doesn't quite transport you to Istanbul the beautiful, traditional coffee cups and Turkish trivets get you a little closer. So does the food, which was tasty and plentiful (the jam laced with rosewater and the sausage slices cooked into the fried eggs were particularly good) and very reasonably priced (£7 all in).
And it all comes with Turkish tea and a smile.

Situated very close to elm row, Pera is finally visited. Decorated with the combination of white and blue colours, Pera give you the Turkish food sensation. What I tried is the halloumi sucuk (fried halloumi with beef sausage). It is a alright starter. What I particular like is their kuzu kanurga or lamb ribs. I am cautious with the smell of lamb but this ribs is as they claimed is very tender and succulent. I couldn’t recognize the lamb smell at all which is very impressive for me. Dipping with yogurt or the salad which is quite similar with Thai spicy salad also adds complex flavors. The staff is very polite and informative. The dishes, plates or cup they use also quite creatively unique. They now accept cash or bank transfer so keep you phone battery alive. It’s a good Mexican restaurant with nice touch in decorations

It was our very first time dinning here and we'll definitely come back! The restaurant is very small and that make it very special, also de decoration is beautiful. The service is amazing, our waitress was fantastic, very charismatic and charming! The food is delicious, we tried the sharing plate for two which is only for £39. The meet, ribs and chicken cooked perfectly, the salad is very tasty and rice delicious! You can bring your own alcohol (they charge a little bit, depending if it's beers or a bottle of wine). I recommend it 100% if you like meat and also if you don't, because they have vegetarian options. Don't forget to bring some cash for tip out, because is not possible to leave it by card and the service definitely deserve it!

We were lucky to get a table around 7pm as was busy. Table was for two of us at the back and was very cosy. Good atmosphere in this snug restaurant. Service by a young lady was excellent and the chef superb. Food was amazing... We went for Sultan's platter ... Think I needed a wheelbarrow to go home.. stuffed! Nothing left on the plate... Delicious 🤤 Will be back!!

Been there more than 5 times in the past 4 years and the food has always been consistently excellent. We've always went for the banquet which is great to share between groups of 3-4 people. The owner and the stuff are also super friendly and their service is very attentive which is a big plus. Would recommend it 100%!

Quaint Turkish job. Food was good. The real stuff no doubt. But the manager insisted on his idea of what amount we should order. The price. Well.. don't expect Turkish prices here.

This place is a hidden gem! Home cooked Turkish food, reasonably priced and the owner is quietly confident you will enjoy his food...and he’s not wrong. Closest thing I have had to Turkish food outside of Turkey 🇹🇷 Great atmosphere, fantastic food and easy parking is a bonus as always in Leith.

Great food, beautiful decorations. He was careful to warn us that he makes everything fresh and not to expect food to be ready immediately but the food arrived very promptly! Everything we ordered was delicious.
