Had a lovely, relaxing afternoon tea at the Bonham. We were served a great selection of sandwiches, sweet treats and scones. The scones were warm and served with cream and two types of jam. Loved the rich chocolate macaroon and refreshing lemon posset! The room was stunning and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed my Japanese cherry green tea and was offered a free refill. Would definitely return and recommend to others!

What a fantastic hidden gem. This restaurant should not be missed if you are in the city. Food was exquisite, atmosphere was beautifully relaxed and the service was exceptional. We opted for the boozy lunch at £35pp and it was worth every penny. Cannot wait to come back.

The Bonham Edinburgh has a beautiful Victorian setting, but some of the rooms are overcrowded with furniture, making it difficult to access your table. Regrettably, the afternoon tea we had was unimpressive, and as basic as it gets. In fact, we left feeling hungry and had to find food at a nearby cafe. Overall, while the ambiance was lovely, the lacklustre food experience was a letdown.

Had a lovely meal with business colleagues. Great setting, great cocktails and a fantastic showcase for Scottish cuisine. Also very reasonably priced and much tastier than places like Gaucho Grill or Bread Street by Gordon Ramsay. Would highly recommend.

This hotel restaurant has been recently revamped. The interior is an absolute delight, very tastefully done, warm and inviting. The staff excel is providing top class service, making you feel comfortable and welcomed. The food is the jewel in the crown, fresh ingredients served beautifully. I would say in its present state this restaurant offers incredible value for money.

A 4 Star Hotel which delivers 5 Star restaurant. Having done the Boozy Snoozy, a few times, we did Christmas Day as all the family are based in Aus. Staff could not have been nicer, sharing their Christmas Day, the food was well beyond what you'd imagine it would be. Nothing was rushed but never left sitting, looking for your next course. Magic. And with the Hotel being Dug Friendly, our pooch joined us in the small back bar as we enjoyed a couple of drams. Highly recommend the Bonham.

Our last night in Scotland, we were excited to walk over, close by our own hotel. After being seated, staff warned us of an event being held on site, so order fast, to avoid disappointment. We did, and the food was well spaced. The cocktails came quickly, and were well made. The bread board was next, and comprised of a few dry cut slices of bread, some butter and a small dish of balsamic / olive oil. We wish the bread was fresher or even small buns would have been more appetizing. The portions are very small. We were informed after ordering that the King Scallops were not available. Shortly thereafter, we were pleasantly surprised to hear, our dish would be coming. The single king scallop was good, but a solo scallop. The lobster dumplings were delicious. Main course venison was a few sliced pieces of meat. not much else - disappointing. The server recommended the Zucchini flowers for my main course, as the best dish in house. It was presented well and delicious. Our wine, a Pinot Noir was well priced and after we had taken a photo of the bottle, the server came by to take the bottle away as she wanted to take photos of it some place else...of course we declined, and instead told her she could take a photo of it on our table. it was very odd. After dinner, we moved over to the bar for Port and cheese, and it was a very busy time for the staff. We do highly recommend the setting, and the neighbourhood is lovely.

Impressive place with a very peaceful and beautiful interior. We ate at the bar and had a few drinks. The service was outstanding and the best we had in a long time. Definitely on our list to dine and stay at the hotel next time we are in Edinburgh

The meal was excellent and the service was as good as that and it is a team effort. They accommodated us quickly on a Friday even though we did not have a reservation. The wine list is small and reasonably priced. The scallops appetizer melted in my mouth. And the lamb main course was delicious and perfectly cooked. The cheese plate on has two selections so I would’ve liked more. All in all a wonderful meal. This is a restaurant attached to the Bonham Hotel.
