We were here for a Christmas meal and the food/service were both good, even though they were clearly understaffed.
The staff were very attentive, despite the number of tables they had to serve. It was an enjoyable experience regardless of the staffing issues.

Had an absolutely lovely night out for dinner with my girlfriend here. The food was absolutely delicious, Duck cooked perfectly and the sauce with it was fantastic and my girlfriends salmon was also delicious. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was fantastic. Great value.

We had a lovely evening here. The bar is beautiful and serves excellent cocktails so arrive a little early to peruse the menu and have one! Once in the main restaurant area, the food was excellent, and the service was lovely too - attentive but not fussy. Finally, when my partner could not finish all of her risotto (it was beautiful I have to say, but just too large to eat it all :), the staff insisted on taking it off the bill. They wouldn't even hear of us paying for the half that was eaten (and believe me we tried to convince them). They were so lovely about it I can't begin to say. If we come back to Edinburgh we would not hesitate to return here for cocktails and food. Highly recommended :)

After being denied service at several places as a single diner, it was great to find this place. Except for the cheese plate, which tasted a few days old, the drinks, food and service were all excellent!

Fine food and lovely place.
I had the chicken breast with creamy mash potatoes , cabbage and wild mushroom. It was absolutely Devine, especially the gravy.
The cod croquette were well balanced in flavour with just the right amount of salt the enhance the flavour of the cod.
I had the chocolate fondant with a soft vanilla ( Madagascar I think) ice scream scoop. It wasn’t special but still enjoyable :)

amazing reataurant located a road up from Princes Street. the decor of the place is amazing and has you looking around around constantly. menu is fairly limited vut what is on there is very nice. i can recommend the fish and chips at £18 and the pandoras jar cocktail.
