Visited here as a tourist looking for a good Scottish breakfast without the pomp and circumstance, this was an excellent experience with fantastic service and excellent food, lovely staff would reccomend to anyone.

One of the only places I’ve found that has a mini full Scottish breakfast for £5. Perfect amount of food for someone who usually struggles to finish the normal portion of full Scottish brekkies. Also, the staff are incredible. Super high energy and fast service! Simply the best :)

The staff are great and really friendly! We came here for the Scottish breakfast and it was delicious, tattie scones were on point! If you’re after a proper Scottish breakfast definitely try out this cafe.

This lovely family run Cafe is clearly a local hidden gym. This isn't a tourist trap and you're going to get an amazing full Scottish.

A fantastic little cafe, with ideal and cheap all-day breakfast and lunch options (small to large traditional breakfasts, sandwiches, toasties, rolls, jacket potatoes, burgers, etc) and some veggie options (including vegetarian haggis!! - it's worth a try!). The people are friendly and welcoming. Very good value. Would specifically recommend the jacket potatoes with fillings. Excellent value! Will definitely return when in Edinburgh next.

The staff and food are as wonderful as ever, and the decor has been updated (18 months ago but new for me) to provide a warm, welcoming environment. If you like your food straightforward and tasty, this is the place to come. I had a cheeseburger with chips. The chips are properly thick and chunky, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The burger was great too. You won't get anything fancy here, and thats the way I like it.

I've lived here a year and this is the best Scottish breakfast I've found in Edinburgh. A proper local cafe, well worth walking down to away from the tourist spots. All three of us got the full Scottish breakfast and couldn't believe how good it was for the price. Brilliant service and very full bellys.
We'll be back to try the lunch options!
