Fabulous store for delicious bites. Love to go there! Millionaire bites with salt on top are incredible for example. Also the choice of breads are great. Atmosphere is very welcoming.

A fabulous experience. The best chicken liver pate that I have ever tasted. Superb wines and the exceptional service that we received made me want to go nowhere else. A must for anyone wanting fabulous olives, cheeses and pate, and that’s just for starters. Would seriously recommend Herbie every time. Thank you

I have used this establishment for years quite frankly spectacular produce, formidably consistently delicious, high quality and always greeted with a smile. Not only am a great believer of supporting good honest local businesses but the owner as the produce reflects the good honest nature of a true deli (rare these days). We shall return time and time again - the duck rillete, the stunning beef as the pates and beautifully baked ninja bars dear God love them all!!!

Best baguette in Stockbridge and extremely friendly & cool staff. Great selection of products that I haven’t seen elsewhere in Edinburgh. I love their pate.

Went with a friend who recommended this place. I never imagined a tiny deli would have so many things I would want to try. If you are in for great food, pay them a visit - the chicken and leek pie is just amazing on a cold rainy day. Staff is super friendly and helpful as well.

Went to do a hot yoga class here but the guy just kept trying to feed me pots of olives and loaves of sourdough bread. Turns out it's a deli and not a yoga studio. I got asked to leave. This upset me so I went to the coffee shop next door and asked for a steak dinner to console myself. They asked me to leave too. For this I can only give them four stars.

My favourite place to stock up before a picnic in Inverleith Park. Fantastic selection of breads, gorgeous rare roast beef (other meats are available) and cheeses and just a lovely little place to build your own sandwiches. The staff are really friendly too, which does help.

I would have never thought this tiny deli would have so many things I would want to try and eat. My oh my, their breads border perfection, their selection of cheeses, pates, meat... is extraordinary. If you are in for great food, pay them a visit. Staff is super friendly and helpful and they will make sure you go home with something you will thoroughly enjoy.

I've been on a continuing mission to find my holy grail of food: fresh chicken liver pate made in the traditional style.. My mission is now complete. Herbie's has the best. They also have a wide range of freshly baked bread, lovely cheese and cured meat, and a broad choice of other store cupboard necessities from pasta, to nuts, to jams. Although the shop is small, they manage to cram a lot into the space. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are happy to answer questions on their produce and give advice.
