Ginos

Gino,, you used to be the best chippy in the area, WOW you've dropped the ball,,,,last night I bought a portion of chips(crammed and crushed into a small bag) and a sausage supper,,, chips good,sausage good but the fekin batter needed a chisel to get through Must've been in the keep warm tray all day

When it comes to chippys/take aways, I'm quite difficult to please. I've travelled to, and eaten from lots of places across the country but hands down, Gino's is the best. Lucy is great for a chat if you're waiting. They have an extensive menu whether you're getting a chippy supper, baked potato, kebab or pizza. A very impressive clean location too. I'm blessed to have Ginos as my local take away. Delivery service available and takeaway only, no option to dine in

Update: 3 years later, I'm still enjoying the food from here! Excellent chippy. This is my go to whenever I'm in the mood for a takeaway. The normal chip shop items (bettered food) is freshly made and have never had any dramas with it. Pizzas from here are great, so great I'm normally comparing other chippys to Ginos. Prices are good too, everything being affordable and reasonably priced. There is a delivery fee on just eat at £3 which is more than most take aways with a minimum spending of £10. Which isn't all too bad and around the same that both dominos and pizza hut charge. The staff here are friendly and polite, always there to help. Only downside is they forget the dips I order online from time to time. So to me Ginos is one of, if not the best chippy in Edinburgh.

Kebab it's huge and price it's resonable. Not 5 star because the pizza wasn't cooked all the way and after I ate half kebab wrap I ended up with all liquid on my clothes and I felt like drinking not eating. I had to throw the rest away because was all watery and impossible to eat. (looked like oil mixed with broth)
