We ordered the deal of 2 x Haddock and chips for £16. We weren’t expecting much for that, maybe the Pensioners portion of a small tail end of fish and a tea plate’s worth of chips. How wrong we were. It was a full portion of fish and chips served fresh and hot in a long cardboard box. The chips were fabulous, crispy, soft in the middle, and tasted like only chips cooked in beef dripping can. The haddock was off the scale fabulous. The batter was so fine, light and crispy, it was like Japanese tempura batter. I was so pleasantly surprised and delighted by this.
It is one of the best fish and chips I have eaten in about 7 years (pandemic taken into account). It really epitomised what Fish and. Chips in a typical British seaside resort should be, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT HIGHLY ENOUGH. ITS AWESOME.
Not sure why the bad reviews, best chips I've had in decades, great curry sauce and proper cup of tea (yorkshire) wife had the same all for 9 quid. Can't complain atall and nice bloke behind the counter 👏

Reasonably priced, really lovely food.
Not much option for seating, which is only outside on metal furniture with 4 tables, but that is the only thing that loses it points.

Bloody lovely!! Went down a treat. Can’t beat fish & chips by the seaside. Even more impressed that the kid’s portion was available. Sorry seagulls none left, we ate the lot!!
Without doubt the best fish and chips ever had
Proper traditional fish and chip products cooked in beef fat so not for everyone but it makes for truly delicious chips and fish bites. Service is quick and very organised even though many things seemed to be cooked to order. Staff were young but very attentive at the counter and in clearing and cleaning the tables. Couldn't fault the service, food or price, all were excellent
Just had Cod & Chips and Jumbo Sausage & Chips from here. Very helpful friendly service, made a fuss of our labrador retriever and got her a bowl so she could have a drink. The food was lovely, well cooked and very tasty. The other half kept saying it was the best jumbo sausage he has eaten. Highly recommended 👌
Really lovely fish and chips. Fish was excellent, really crispy. Great price and friendly owner, who took our order even though he was closing. Food was cooked fresh and quick !
