The Albany Pub & Dining Room

Had a great time here while visiting friends. This pub has great vibes and is the perfect spot for both locals and tourists. The food was amazing and staff were friendly and attentive. There is a sense of community between the staff and patrons. Highly recommend stopping by for a pint and some good food.

Im not often one to write reviews but honestly I felt compelled to write a review following my trip to The Albany this afternoon! Myself and 5 other family members dined at The Albany and I can honestly say we all left with full bellies and not a complaint between us. We dined outside with lovely views of the river. We were served by Max, who was helpful and was even able to share his opinions and insight into each meal/course which was really helpful. Max was super friendly and service was fast and efficient. The food was brilliant, I had the chipotile chicken to start, buttermilk chicken burger for main and brownie to finish off, all were absolutely lovely, cannot have asked for more! This was my first trip to The Albany and I will definitely be back soon! Thank you to Max and all the team! So much so me and my family have booked Christmas dinner there!

Well that was most enjoyable! A feast of food. Scallops to start and roast chicken as a main with delicious veg. Given part of the leftovers in a beautiful box. But the best of all was the offering of a mini dessert and hot drink. I've been banging on about this for years! And they delivered in spades. A white chocolate cheesecake and cup of tea for £6! Honestly, a wonderful experience all round. Service was excellent too and lovely Mara took our picture as it was a reunion. There were quite a few kids, but on the whole well behaved. Just a bit tricky getting up the stairs with my sticks. In the summer, the view will be stunning of the river.
