We are a regular visitors to Secretts. We enjoy returning for the quarterly, seasonal events, full of food, music and most importantly, the experience! This time, we have been to PYO asparagus, because we were curious how asparagus grows. On our way through the fields, we came across a lot of other produce, like a 🥬 or a pheasant running around. Came back with an asparagus quiche, Howkins Bro elderflower and pink bubbly 🍷 , Godminster 🧀, Bon Bon’s 🍬 and some obligatory lamb chops, 🥩 and sausages. A brief chat with Greg, the 4th generation owner about days on the farm and how things going, was lovely, too. We hope visitors enjoy the farm as much as we continuously do. We will be back for 🌽 festival, 🎃 or 🍓 fest 👍

I am very impressed with this place. The members of staff clearly made an effort to showcase that it is The Queen's Platinum Jubille. I always go to the cheese counter first and the woman behind the cheese counter clearly made an effort and she was wearing a nice hat. She also had the roses from her garden on display, which was lovely. Laura was also really nice. She was extremely friendly when I chose my salads. As usual, the variety of fruit and veg was excellent.

I attended the shop today and I am so glad that I did. They have re-arranged a few sections and it looks really lovely. The cheese counter is spectacular and they are all clearly labelled as to whether or not they are vegetarian. The variety is very impressive and the people who were behind the counter today were knowledgeable, friendly and they did not pester people as they looked at the cheese. I appreciated this because it is very distracting when one is trying to choose a few cheeses and someone is bothering you by asking too many questions. This never happens at Secretts and the members of staff are able to answer questions properly. I do not usually purchase any ready-made foods, but today I did because the Coronation chicken as well as the potato salad looked absolutely delicious. For people who have a sweet tooth, there are plenty of sweets available, including an eclectic selection of small jellybeans. I usually purchase the fruits and the vegetables. The strawberries which were available today were wonderful. The taste was extraordinary and they were absolutely perfect. I usually buy the multi-coloured salad leaves, watercress and rocket. The shop also sells multi-coloured tomatoes. The only drawback is that I spent an exorbitant sum of money, which is attributable to the high cost of everything which is sold at Secretts.Everything is very fresh and the range of raw foods are exceptionally impressive. I do concede that the food is of a very high quality and the service is excellent. Every single time I attend, there is something new to enjoy. ***I attended this place again in August 2021. Again, I was extremely impressed with the members of staff, such as the people behind the cheese counter as well as the deli counter. The woman behind the deli counter was knowledgeable and I valued her opinion because she was so enthusiastic about her product.***
