Absolutely lovely visit! Stunning food, lovely atmosphere and amazing service!! Highly, highly recommend going here for food! We went for dinner and took our 7 year old with us too. They catered to her every need, so well (as she is a little fussy with food).

We had lunch here with friends today, we all had 3 delicious courses and the service was great, as usual.

Superb food and service at Calenders for reasonable prices. For starters, the home made duck liver pate was full and rich,; the whitebait were big, soft, and delicate. For the mains, the beef brisket was tender with gravy that had deep dark beef marrow flavours. The duck was perfectly cooked and the tart red cabbage with it worked really well. For dessert, the bakewell tart cheesecake was terrific as was the rhubarb merangue.

We had dinner at Callender’s for a work night out and we were not disappointed. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was superb. Every one of us had a clean plate at the end…not a crumb was left! We will certainly be going again.

1st time in here for a meal, the staff are all lovely, very clean,nice atmosphere. starter and main for £15.49.
Absolutely stunning, the first meal in a long time where I could actually taste the food and not pepper, no pepper at all on my food, it was delicious and plenty of it. Compliments to the chef.

Visited today with no expectations. We all came out very well fed with the delightful feeling that the food was fresh and cooked properly. Fantastic value for quality food. Excellent atmosphere and super staff.
