Visited here today. Staff kindly gave us a table even though they were pretty busy and we hadn't pre- booked. Food was excellent as were the hot drinks. Small things didn't go unnoticed such as the tasty homemade beans. The staff were friendly and kind too. Amazing full Elenglish with excellent produce used. Thank you 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was only able to get a takeaway as all tables booked 😭. I saw this cake 🍰 on the stand and I couldn’t help myself. It was worth every single bite. The sponge was so light and moist, the jam filling perfectly sweet and added some texture and icing on top just finished the cake perfectly. I can’t wait to come back again and dine in next time!!

Not many seats, highly recommended booking otherwise could be limited to only half an hour like we were. Very small premises, but lovely friendly staff and service was fast considering the time crunch we had. The food and drinks were very nice. Would go back

This is the best place to get breakfast in Halstead and does a superb breakfast for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The staff are always friendly and they use high quality ingredients with all the food freshly prepared. We’ve been consistently visiting the little book cafe and have never been disappointed with the standard of food or service. Also dog friendly in the back courtyard which is a bonus! Thoroughly recommend the Little Book Cafe.

Really cute, quaint cafe located in the middle of Halstead. Great customer service, lovely atmosphere, and fantastic food. Definitely visit!! The Parsnip soup was great!!

Great to be able to visit this wonderful cafe again. Friendly staff with a very good selection of food. My choice of the vegetarian all day breakfast was delicious. I loved the gluten free toast. My wife really enjoyed her eggs Benedict. Booking ahead is recommended as this place is very popular with the locals.

Amazing food, drinks and service. Very happy eating and drinking here. The food always tastes lovely and actually has decent flavours. Nothing comes across as fake. Definitely not expensive for the taste of the food as it's all freshly prepared/cooked like the lovely pancakes they do so very worth it. Do have a freakshake - only available in the school holidays which are a meal in themselves but oh soo good!!
