We booked prior to our visit. On arrival, we were directed to our table which had been reserved with my name. We pursued the menu and chose meals from the Sunday lunch menu. The food was delicious and rather substantial considering how very reasonably priced the set menu was. All staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. We were asked immediately on ordering if anyone in our party had allergies and there wasn’t a long wait for our food to arrive, it was beautifully presented and piping hot! The establishment itself was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We never once felt rushed. After our meal, we took the opportunity to sit outside with our drinks, there are plenty of shaded areas to sit under as well as the usual outdoor picnic style seating.
Overall, The Duck In The Pond is a great little spot for a meal with friends or family, staff are welcoming and inviting, it’s value for money and well worth a visit!
Honestly a really well established pub with great staff! The manager Aaron in particular is really good with running the pub and is super nice. Always a pleasure dining here or just grabbing some drinks. We come here regularly and always receive great service - definitely recommend :)
I throughly enjoyed my family meal here at the duck in the pond. The new manager was most polite as were staff and we felt very welcomed. Service was great and the food was cooked to perfection. A lovely atmosphere was created by such lovely seasonal decor. I look forward to returning!
Excellent cosy pub with a great atmosphere. I had lunch on Sunday with friend and l can say that all went great. Friendly staff and good food.
I came here on a weekday with my husband and his parents. We managed to take advantage of the fixed price menu, which was a nice deal. I decided to go with one course and ordered the lentil and spinach pie, which turned out to be a vegetarian version of cottage pie. I was surprised at how tasty it was—a solid vegetarian meal that I highly recommend. The portion was a bit small, however, so I got hungry soon after. Maybe the portion is larger if you just order from the regular menu? I should have gotten a dessert for just an extra £2!
We booked and arranged a buffet for 30+ people after my dad's funeral.
It could not have been more perfect. The area was ready for us even though we arrived slightly early. The buffet was lovely and great selection for everyone. Everyone commented how much they enjoyed the food.

The food is pretty good, hubby loves the wings. The atmosphere is great, there's lots if space, inside and out. There's also a good amount of parking available, which is a real treat
I meet up with few friends for lunch. We had fish and chips with beer. The food was nice and good service. Lady behind the counter was helpfull and served with a smile. Overall nice afternoon lunch experiace. When I asked for extra tar tar sauce the server went to the kitchen and came back with "sorry we don't have extra sauce". This was disappointing as I would have given 5* . They lost a whole star for economising on sauce which would have cost few pence.

Service ws just great, bartender so cool, serving Tyrell very nice and caring. Food was 5*. I enjoyed it. Nothing bad I can pinpoint as it is quiet. Guys are doing great. Duck changed to bettet over the years I have to say.
Nice outdoor area and staff are friendly and show good attention.
Currently it appears understaffed and this impacts on waiting time at the bar. I would like this to be my local but staffing issues need to addressed.
