Best jerk I’ve had in a long time! Mamma V did not disappoint. Ordered a light snack of jerk wings and a portion of plantain with a rum punch to go with it. The jerk was cooked with love and that much was evident. The plantain was also very tasty, especially when dipped in the jerk sauce from the wings. Mamma V knows what she’s doing and knows how to cook up good, hearty food👌🏼

Almost all negative reviews here seem to be for delivery services, which is a shame!! This review is for the food and service, not prices. I'm new to Caribbean food so went in with no excitations, and ended up with takeaway curry goat and macaroni cheese! The meat was very tasty and I would have loved more meat on the bones, but the food is generally very good and service very friendly.

Had a craving for Caribbean food and didn't want to drive all the way to Harlesden. It's set off the main road so can be easily missed but when you find it, it'll be worth it. There's parking right in front as an added bonus. I had to wait 30-ish minutes for the food which was absolutely fine by me as they were friendly and I was curious about the place and I had nothing better to do. The atmosphere is simple, nothing fancy, just simple which I liked. Naturally they had proper reggae artists playing in the background such as Beres Hammond. I got the food to take home with me. Ackee and Saltfish with rice and peas and two fried dumplings. The food was spot-on, no complaints, I found the use of herbs a little surprising but it worked well. Upon my food being presented to me, the lady cook came out from the back to thank me for waiting, I assume that was Mama V herself. Customer service 10/10 right there. They also accept card payments which is a big big big bonus. Highly recommend this place, it's good to see some addition of Caribbean food to the area as South Harrow is just endless kebab and chicken shops.
