Best bar for beer in Hastings and beyond! There are four taps dedicated to ales and four to cider. I don't know much about cider, but the constantly-changing draught beers are picked by the enthusiastic and knowledgeable owners, and come from the best breweries in the world. Just last night they had on Cloudwater and Northern Monk - and the prices are extremely keen! Great range of bottles too, with Belgian sours a speciality. The food is amazing, and the decor very tasteful. This place is an absolute gem, especially if you're into your beer!
(from 18. to 21 May 2017) We stayed three nights in No. 3- a small room with a very small bathroom, but perfect for us. It was so nice to have our own bathroom and it's so sweet.
Every morning we woke up to "Full English Breakfast" and wonderful fresh coffee from the espresso machine in the downstairs cafe.
It was the perfect start to our further journey in the old part of Hastings, where the The Jolly Fisherman fits perfectly. It's an old house that the owners are renovating, and they try to keep the old fine details of the building. We were so happy to be in their B&B, and we are happy to provide our best recommendations - A heart warm place with owners who dream of creating a B&B and cafe/bar where old details will show the quality and where the Danish word - Hygge fits perfectly- Best wishes from Kristian og Lisbeth
Amazing small pub. Wonderful selection of beers. How they are all sourced is a mystery. Cosy warm atmosphere and very welcoming. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended
For a hole in the wall bar, it punches above its weight. Great selection of drinks, awesome staff and a lovely old world atmosphere. Can an entire bar be a snug?
This is a proper gem. Serving proper still ciders in 2/3 of a pint measures. Trust this is a good thing. Also have a good range of ales. Their can selection is Impressive.
Fab atmosphere and pretty cosy.
Great hidden gem in Hastings old town, serving a huge selection of craft beers and ciders. Friendly owner and staff, and even a classic toads table for a true Sussex experience. Not big, so be prepared to share tables and stories
Lovely little craft bar with a comprehensive list of craft beers.
Fantastic selection of oft changing, very interesting beers, sours and ciders. A must visit if you want something delicious and different to standard lagers and cask ales!
I brought 2 beers to take home and got a quick run down on them from the bartender, friendly and helpful. Reminded me of the inch bar in Dunedin NZ, a place I liked a lot. Great curated selection of beers, nice place to stop for beer fans.
What a little gem! Great craft beers. I opted for a pint of Bombay Social IPA which ended up as a couple accompanied by local bread with olive oil and balsamic. A refreshing change from the other pubs along the front. Didn't eat anything else but the menu looks great. Good homecooked fayre.
Interesting little seafront ale/craft/cider/can café style watering establishment....easy to get well marinated in a short time
Tiny little Craft real ale/cider/bottles/cans establishment with an interesting array of limited edition drinks
