Dakota's Steak House

For a steakhouse, you would think this place would be on point, NOPE. For starters, the Mai Tai was nothing but juice. When the waitress asked if I wanted another drink, the answer was clearly no. But no big deal because it was pretty hungry so I order the 8 Oz steak with mashed potatoes (no gravy) and a side salad. Problem number 2... I ordered the steak medium but it was almost well done. The salad was old and dried out and the mashed potatoes was too cold very garlic heavy. If the menu mentioned that it was galic mashed potatoes, I would have ordered something else. I didn't say anything or make a big deal because I wasn't expecting much from the place. Then came Problem number 3, I was charged over $90 for a $25meal. Of course they refunded back the incorrect amount and charged me the right amount, but now I have 2 charges and have to wait 3 to 5 days for the refund of their mistake. Again, I didn't make a big deal, but lesson learned... Not worth the money, very disappointed 👎🏽

Haven't been at Dakota's in years, and now I remember why. Got there around 8:04, literally had to call the restaurant at 8:22 to tell them we were sitting at the table, they asked us what tabl number we were at. How were we supposed to know what the table numbers were. 3 servers walked by our table with no drinks, no food, at least 5 times. How did no one see 3 people. When our server finally came to the table she apologized and said no one told her she had a table. Ordered our drinks, got the wrong drink when she finally came back, had to remind her to bring the right drink around 10 minutes later. Got our food before our appetizer, when we asked about our appetizer she said she forgot to put it in and the kitchen was now closed. When we were almost finished with our food she came back with the appetizer. Never seen her in between, really wanted more sour cream for my baked potato, but I didn't know my table number to call back and ask for it. She did offer free dessert, but didn't want to wait another 15 minutes for a dessert that we probably wouldn't have gotten. A waste of $75. Just save your time and money and take the drive to amarillo, or go to Parsons. By the way I'm a really good tipper, just tipped $40 at Texas Roadhouse last weekend for the same amount, for way better service. Never in my life have I tipped less than $5 but this experience I didn't even want to give that.

Steak was awesome worth the price, the loved the mushrooms and fries, but the Lobster was undercooked, but once they fixed it was ok. But the food was appetizing to look at (sorry about the picture with steak had to dig in). The service was amazing, my waitress was polite and attentive. Overall I enjoyed the place, was a little pricey but in my opinion worth the money. Stop by if you get the chance!
