The Tapas evening provided a great setting for a girls night out. The food was gorgeous, the wine delicious and the hospitality excellent, as always.
Super spot lovely staff and delicious coffee and cake. Very busy.
Lovely friendly place and cracking food.
Busy, but staff friendly and customers chat.
Accessibility good, including toilets.

Suitable for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans.
Toilets (through the arch with the stone lintel beam), including toilet for disabled and baby change area
Nice café; great staff. Will definitely head back. A couple of things from a cyclist's perspective that would make it even better: a bike rack of some sort outside would be great and also if you could keep the bacon sandwiches going after 12, that would be brilliant for us!
We Enjoyed a light breakfast on a quiet Saturday morning.
The food was very good and reasonably priced. A panini, bacon sandwich and a pot of tea for 2 was £12 (July 18).
Gluten free and kids options are also available.
Would highly recommend for a bite to eat. Plus the scones look amazing!
Top class little cafe.
We popped in at midday Saturday (prime time) and there was even the odd group waiting for a table to come free.
There were no signs of any struggle to keep up with demand though. The hallmark of a great staff team, when service remains good under pressure.
Food and drinks were served in a quick turnaround and to a high standard. The staff are to be commended. Always a pleasure to find such a treasure.
It's not a cheap place, but there's no problem paying for quality.
Tasty sandwiches, decent coffee 👍
A lovely place for lunch, light period room.
The food is lovely.
Busy on a Saturday as to be expected.
The food can be overfacing for a smaller eater but spot on for my husband.
There is free tap water and free wifi (although this didnt work on my visit).
Jacket potato could have been warmer and then ordering a coffee afterwards was told 20 mins wait so left. Thought we would have got ours quicker as we had had meals.
Lovely location and the only cafe we could find open as it was Sunday
Warm, comfortable room with good food and coffee at sensible prices. First-rate staff, friendly, informal atmosphere and decent toilet provision. Well worth a look, especially if you're visiting Hexham Abbey.
Had a scone with jam and ginger beer. Staff members were very friendly and helpful.
A fairly traditional cafe, good menu but not that adventurous. The food is well presented and substantial. The staff were very friendly and the place was spotless.
Lovely warm, clean and the staff were very helpful. Food was delicious and we were served quickly. We even bought scones to take home.
