Beautiful range of classic American style food, wings and burgers are plentiful and trust, some of the best wings I've had outside of the USA, served with the classic blue cheese and celery
Amazing food in huge portions! Really nice , suprise pop in visit here. Aylsha serving us was warm and friendly. We will deffo return , especially for one of the live music nights. The food is a must but order on the more modest side . Great value and quality here .
Had the most wonderful time at the tavern! We booked cocktail making, had dinner and watched the live band who were amazing! Chris and the staff were very accommodating and made my friends 30th very memorable! 100% recommend for a brilliant night out.
Decent food and good service. Imagine with live music it could be a good night so would come back. However, it is looking a bit tired in places with crumbling cocktail menus and old posters on the wall. Cheesy country music wasn’t to my liking either as it conjured up imagines of line dancing with poorly fitted denim, checked shirts and that whiff of mince. Seems they do folk nights too which would be preferable.
Visited yesterday in a very hot Holmfirth, we found a seat inside for food and it was fantastic. I only asked for a table expecting to order at the bar but we got full waiter service. The drinks were cool, the food was hot and fresh.
If we weren't going elsewhere for the night, we would have stopped there as we saw the band playing at the Tavern doing their soundcheck and they were brilliant.
All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will visit Holmfirth again and the Tavern will have our custom.
Probably one of the best bars I've ever been to. Brilliant staff, fantastic act, and a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I cant recommend this place highly enough and we can't wait to go back.
We came here in November 2023 and we had an amazing time. However, tonight we were quite surprised and left early. About two hours in we left, as we surrounded by what we can only describe as young youths with their “bum bags”. The atmosphere wasn’t great, we were quite dissatisfied. The food was amazing as always and the service was great. We were just a-bit let down.
We regularly make the 3-4 hour round-trip to Holmfirth Tavern for their live Country music night featuring both UK & US artists, and it's one of our favourite venues.

Absolutely amazing place to eat, drink and enjoy the live music entertainment. Chris the owner can not do enough for you and all the staff behind the bar and the waiting staff were lovely. The food was fantastic and the whole place is well thought out. Down to the menus being like a newspaper to the cool black cutlery to the space saving loos with the sink in the top of the cistern. Really enjoyed our visit especially Tenacious D by our Nashville visitor 🖤🖤
Met the manager today and my wife and I were greeted very warmly. What a great place to have a drink, nibbles and cake. Were given complimentary popcorn with our drinks. Situated out of the way in a quaint Yorkshire street away from the the hubbub. Definitely recommend this for a friendly, relaxing time. I understand there is Mic night tonight and a band tomorrow. Will try and make it. Fantastic industrial look on two floors. If you are looking for bijou, traditional, independent and different pub/Cafe experience then this is the place to visit off the beaten track. See you soon HT. John & Julie
