We had a wonderful experience at Shiraz Persian Restaurant in Hove recently. My partner and I ordered the sharing platter for two, with halloumi and chicken wings to start, then lamb and chicken for the main and chips and rice as the side. It was all absolutely delicious. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and made sure that we had a great evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Persian meal.

The food and service are great! The menu is mostly lamb, a few chicken choices and veggi sides. Good size portions, definitely ask for the garlic sauce and chilli sauce - later super spicy 🔥 The waiter was brilliant, very attentive and service was swift even though they were busy.

The saffron-infused rice was a standout, and their kebabs were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly. If you're a fan of Persian cuisine, this place is a must-visit!

Shiraz Restaurant is a delightful Persian eatery that provides a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. As a Shirazi, I felt a sense of familiarity and comfort while dining there. The mixed grill with saffron rice was absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend visiting Shiraz Restaurant for an authentic and satisfying Persian dining experience.

Been to many Persian restaurants. This place is definitely the best by far. Food incredibly tasty, ordered joojeh Kebab (chicken grill) was absolutely delicious. Then they brought two different sauces which one of them was a chilli sauce. I think in my opinion the chilli sauce was also the best chilli sauce I’ve ever had. 😍

Fantastic food and a great experience. The open kitchen is a nice touch as it's nice seeing your food being prepared. Not the biggest restaurant and was very busy when we visited on a Saturday evening. We've been several times now and will be going again!

Outstanding!! By far the best Persian Restaurant in Brighton and Hove! The food is so so good and the service very attentive. It was my partner's birthday meal and the lady serving us kindly brought over some Baghlava with a birthday candle in, whilst playing happy birthday.. such a nice touch as was everyone in the restaurant singing too! Great food, great atmosphere and great service!

Iranian approved Authentic Persian Cuisine! 💯 Here's what we ordered:
Kashke Bademjoom £7 🌟🌟
[Translation: Persian Eggplant Dip 🍆]
A popular Persian appetizer that consist of grilled aubergine mixed with caramelised onion, mint walnuts and cream of whey. As a person who is not a big fan of eggplant, I would say the dip was chef kisss especially dipping it with the bread! 🤌💋
Soltani £21 🌟
A skewer of tender baby lamb fillet and minced lean lamb serves with rice, grilled pepper and tomato. It was a nicely cooked meat pairing with rice. Also, not forgetting to pair it with the grilled tomato! It enhances the overall taste of everything! 🔥
Tips: Do taste it when it freshly served when hot! The meat would become less tender when it is cold.
Zereshk Polo £16.50 🌟🌟🌟
Traditional rice dish: slow cooked chicken in saffron and tomato sauce served with steamed saffron rice topped with seared sundried barberries and pistachios.
Despite all dishes are my favourite, this is my Top 1! 😍 Pour the sauces on the chicken and some on the rice~ Tear some chicken and pair it with the saffron rice and not forgetting barberries! Perfect match 💯 Not able to describe it more because it was so good that you would need to experience it on your own 😍🔥
We were so blessed that we almost cried while was having all these food 😭 My Iranian friend said "it taste like home, and better than home~" 🏠❤️

At the Shiraz restaurant it was so lovely and staff are amazing!!! Food is great and such a great variety. The things I did not like what that a couple of the staff kept staring at us and it was a bit off-putting and I wish there was a vanilla Cheesecake and not just a lemon one!!
Otherwise it was amazing eating at the Shiraz Restaurant.

It is such a shame for such a wonderful restaurant to have a graceless waiter. We chose the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary; as we entered one of the waiters (the main male waiter) approached us. He asked if we have booked, and my husband replied in a very clear English; " Yes, this is our wedding anniversary and we have booked." The waiter raised his voice and repeated "But did you book!". My husband is such a gentleman, so he repeated his sentence for him again. The owner on the other hand was very polite and generously gave us some extra meals for our next day's celebration order. Some of our guests were vegetarians so we had to call the restaurant to ask if there was meat in one of the dishes. The same graceless waiter has picked up the phone and was absolutely rude over the phone too. It's really a shame because I wouldn't hesitate to give five stars if the waiter wasn't so rude, especially when the owner himself is such a polite, kind and friendly person. We will go back to the restaurant but certainly NOT on our special days. Nobody wants a graceless person to appear on their special occasion.

Fantastic meal - had the lamb with saffron rice and salad. Excellent and authentic Persian food, great service, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. Best meal I have had in ages and will be coming back. Do come - you won't regret it!

If you like putting delicious food into your mouth and sharing a plate with friends then you absolutely must come here. If you're just 'thinking' of going here then you've already thought too much.
Being kind to yourself these days is about yoga and herbal tea WRONG !! it's about meat, sauce, chilli, salad and bread.
Simple food cooked well served by a confident and friendly waiter.
3 people sharing a plate for 2 was plenty for a lunch time bite.
