Enjoyed my stay here with a corona and live music by Area Code 273. Even in this dog friendly place, the dog was wagging its tail. Certainly has a community feel.Food is also served here but I ate at the Indian opposite. Seating at the front and beer garden also.

Lovely and warm place! The lamb curry was amazing and so tasty! The owner is very kind and he has a lovely dog that seats next to you, asking just for love ❤️ good prices as well!

Quirky little bar in Hove, owned by Fudge the dog who is helped out by some very lovely friendly people. Dogs are positively encouraged to visit. Great food, I recommend the fish chowder. Cocktails, coffees, beers etc plus a delicious range of locally produced leaf teas. Live music at weekends - a great place to visit!

Just had Sunday roast with 4 friends. Excellent. Very well presented, tasty and good portion size. Staff v friendly and attentive. Apple crumble v nice. Food takes a while to come but all cooked freshly so you need to be patient but worth it. Good value for money.

A pleasure to visit and so good we keep coming back for more!
Great service, locally sourced produce, very well cooked to order as well, so no microwaving or mass cooked rubbish.
The mascot/owner Fudgie is adorable and very friendly, his human staff are just as well trained as he is, friendly and careful to get everything right. Try the white chocolate melt, it’s amazing.
First time we went here with no cash, but it was such a great experience we actually went to a cash machine to make sure we could leave a tip.

Very friendly, attentive service. Popped in on Mother's Day and ended up staying all afternoon in the relaxing suntrap patio. Sunday roast very tasty. I walked past this place far too many times without going in, my loss. Can see it becoming the go to local place. Do live music over the weekend. Highly recommended

This is happily one of the best places to relax in Hove, be it day time or evening. The food is beautiful and the company in the evenings is simply exquisite. Absolute gem of a place with a varied mix of music from the owners during the week to some very very cool jazz and blues bands playing during the weekend. A must visit place if you are close by

Fantastic time at Fudgies last night. Highly recommend that you seek out this lovely bistro in Hove. Great food: mains under £10! Thai green curry, beef stew, chilli to name but a few, absolutely delicious! Convivial owners and little Fudgie herself, the doggy personification of the bistro. Great wine list by the glass and cocktails. What more could you ask for... Oh yes amazing live jazz music!
Thanks for the great night. We will be back very soon. X

A very welcoming, and dog friendly, establishment. Sunday roast dinner was a treat! An inviting garden with seating out the back and live music 3 nights a week. We enjoyed it!

What a fabulous place, all locally sourced Sussex food, a breakfast menu to die for and a lovely garden out back... and to top it off dog friendly! Jules and Julia are the lovely owners along with their dog Fudge. This is a gem for sure!

Warm, welcoming and great customer service by all the staff and Fudgie, their mascot, every time I go. Great looking place and back garden. You might want to bring a doggie treat for Fudgie but as he’s so spoiled I never feel obligated if I forget. This is one of the few pubs that put out yummy nuts to have with your drinks. Plenty of parking at the big Tesco’s across the street. My friends hire out the place once a month so I know you can for your event too and owners offer an open bar, bring your drinks over and play great music but happy to take requests.

Had a good veggie full breakfast. Freshly cooked. Service friendly and nice atmosphere. They do coffee and tea cocktails. Didn't have one but if its your thing give it a try.

I went at the weekend & had the all day veggie breakfast. There were bits that were really yummy (the rosti & the mushrooms) and I would order it again. Having said that, I was disappointed by the home made baked beans. They were fine but when they’ve gone to the trouble of making them I expect a lot more flavour than I got. The sausage wasn’t a sausage, it was more like a potato rissole but it was nice and crunchy on the outside, and certainly an improvement on some of the veggie sausages I’ve eaten over the years.
The service was very friendly (a bit slow for the food to come out though), and the place itself was lovely. I’d go again for breakfast, not sure if I’m convinced enough to try dinner. The fudge that came with the bill at the end was really yummy. All meals should end with fudge that good!

We have been going here for last few months.. Very promising start.. first few breakfast hashes were amazing and excellent portions. Went back yesterday and portions reduced too much, no cheese in hash and not much else to be fair, signature fudge not offered, taken croque off menu and just found out no longer offering hashes on a Sunday.. huge mistake.. hate this when you find a gem then they self destruct through reducing portions/quality.. they're trying to do too much.. go back to what was great and keep standards high..

Absolutely amazing place! Popped in for a burger and a pint and the lovely people of Fudgies made up for an otherwise stressful day.
PS: Make sure you say hi to Fudge the dog if you pop in!
Pam Mitchell
I don't know what happened when we went. Everyone else seems to love it. I had two luke warm coffees & a mac & cheese that didn't taste of cheese at all & was bright yellow from what appeared to be turmeric on the side of the plate! The place itself was lovely but we won't be going back.

Fantastic cocktails and really decent owners front of house. I’ve just seen the menu and am coming for breakfast with a Bloody Mary tomorrow morning. Support a local business and give Fudgies a try.

Fantastic bar with the friendliest staff. The decor is stunning and there’s a lovely garden out the back, a little haven to relax in. Will definitely be returning, my new place to unwind.

It was my first time in Brighton had the BEST cocktails- espresso martini I have ever had in my life! Then I went the following morning for breakfast which was amazing. The service was amazing so accommodating I then came back for a Sunday roast, the beef was cooked to perfection! It has a fun quirky atmosphere and is very friendly. I will be coming back when we come back to Brighton!
