Lovely pub with a great variety of drinks and pub food.
It offers a beautiful ambiance with a nice traditional decor, hosts live sports, live music, pub quiz, has a pool table and board games also available. So you will not get bored ! I visited on a Monday lunch time which was quiet and chill. Seating is comfortable consisting of tables and chairs indoor and outdoor , couches , high chairs and tables, and benches in the beer backyard garden.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and happy to serve you. They are knowledgeable about the menu and ready to answer your questions and help you choose they also checked on me after food was served.
Their menus including a kids menu offer a great variety of food and drinks with reasonable prices. Cocktails are 6£ they also have non alcoholic options for 4 £.
The place offers lunch sandwiches for 6 pounds, main dishes, burgers and platters for 9 to 15.5. Vegan vegetarian options are also available.
My order:
Strawberry and cranberry spritz 3.99£ . the shweppes lemonade dominated and I couldnt taste the cranberry but overall it was refreshing and nice.
Super grain Salad 8.79£ : surprisingly healthy food in a pub i loved this item made my day as it is a mix of grains( lentils, quinoa, beans) with soft boneless chicken thighs marinated with mango and lime and glazed with a sweet chilli sauce. The dish also contains avocado slices, tomatoe, cucumber, rocket leaves and grilled onion and pepper. Food serving speed was quick which worries me and unfortunately everything was fresh, tasted great, the chicken was well cooked soft moist and hot except the grilled onion and the peppers smelled and tasted spoiled.

Had a lovely Sunday roast today here at the Palmeira. There was a minor incovenience with my meal and the staff were very polite about it and gave us compensation.
Would definitely recommend 👍🏽

One of the best pubs in Brighton and Hove!
Awesome members of staff, clean, friendly, great atmosphere and great for live sport!
The food is very good and competitively priced.
Check out the free pool on Tuesday’s and quiz night on Thursday’s 👍🏻

Nicely air conned, dog friendly, cheap food and drink, nice staff. Away from the busy streets.

This definitely is a great pub, especially for Brighton / Hove. Good food, good choice of drinks, friendly staff. The clientele are normal people, not tiresome Brighton yuppie types or tourists. Perhaps this is why the prices are reasonable and a small round won't cost you an arm and a leg. So highly recommended but one small quibble - if you say you open at 11am on a Sunday I expect to be able to put my bum on a seat there at 11am not find the doors still closed at 11:30. Otherwise would be a 5 star.

We held a club event at this pub and Richard & his team couldn’t have been more accommodating. Good food, friendly atmosphere and a fantastic pub in which to watch sport. Thanks Palmeira

This is a pub I attend on occasion and on this particular Occasion the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my dad and myself in this covid climate!
I was some what emotional when I arrived having a particularly rough day In tears and very stressed with my poor dad in tow, the Landlord Richard did all he could to find us a table, it took us a little while to get round the ordering service which ended up as table service. Food was ok, drinks where fantastic And the staff where amazing while working in this tricky climate adhering to all the rules stringently while being super friendly, helpful and courteous!
THis is definitely a local pub I recommend!

Always enjoy my visits here, great selection of reasonably priced food and drink. Live sport on TV and outside seating if required. A great place to come before Sussex cricket games and just a short walk from Hove station. Would recommend.

First time I've been back for years and place looks great. Staff great. Friendly, helpful and attentive. Didn't eat but will do next time as food looked great. Great range of beers.

Great venue for sport! We did book a table for a recent important sporting event and couldn't actually see any screens from our booked table.

Nice pub and great atmosphere. The Sunday roast wasn't the best in town but good value for money.
Really lovely place for food and drinks.

Went for Sunday lunch with 4 friends .. very tasty but the lunches arrived at the table quite staggered so by the time the last person got theirs the first one had nearly finished .. very tasty curry sauce tho

The wonderful barman Charlie and the rest of his team were great. Friendly, fun and super helpful. Had some delicious 2 for 1 (thanks for the heads up Charlie) burgers with my kids, who were also really welcomed. Great sports pub
Keith “Cito” Barry
A good selection of beers & ales, although the latter had all run out when I got there, so I'm guessing they sell a lot. Nice atmosphere & friendly barman; food looked filling too!

Nice chap working the bar on his own. Started to get busy but nobody had to wait long 👍

Ate here last night Four Adults one child. The only meal that was eaten was the steak one person enjoyed her meal for the others it was terrible. The waitress listened but wasn't really interested. But she offered a steak knife so I could cut into the mushroom pie it didn't work the pastry was too hard . This place is ok if you just want a drink . Not to eat.

The food was good (but not great), but it was a good price for Sunday lunch, with good vegetarian options. A bit loud from football on one giant screen, and cricket on another.
Sophie Sophie
The roast was not good, it was like a microwave meal and we had pigs in blankets but the sausage was completely raw. Will never eat here again

Amy made me a proper and pretty gin and tonic. I like the atmosphere and the decor. Great place!
Tilley Arnold
Ordered onions rings for £1.99 and only 3 onion rings were given and we were told that's what the portion size was. Rude staff, disgusting food and awful service.
Anton Thomas
Rugby was on and it was pretty hectic with everyone coming through door at same time
Although I found one bar staff member quite rude , I understood the pressure they were under trying to serve drinks order food & keep place running smoothly
Nice breakfast reasonably priced outside area as well, plenty of screens . Good pub to come to for yr big sports games . I'll Def go back

Great pub. Clean and staff friendly and the food was lovely and great value for money.
Claire Vanderhoven
Great new refurbished pub. Staff, beer and wine superb. Sunday roasts however need improvement. Chicken was dry. Veg, stuffing and roast potatoes out of a packet at £10. If you improve your roast all home made then you will be our future local. Good luck. :) x

Great staff ,great food opened up early for British lions game- fab!!!!
Michael Pert
Good food, but four beer pumps out of action not great

Saturday 9pm a table of 6 spilled a pint of beer on the floor, the barman who was on duty was advised. All he did was spend his time on his phone and left a slip hazard - the lazy fcuker.
Ryan 'Meep Meep' Birchall
Great for football & beer
Jason Aggarwal
First visit to our new local. Early start for the Lions game. Couldn't fault the 8am Guiness. Looking forward to exploring food options next time.
Mandy Altoft
