What an awesome find! We were looking for somewhere to enjoy our anniversary dinner, and we were in the mood for some grilled fish.
This place popped up on our search - and we thought we'd try it out. The freshest and tastiest seafood platter I've had in years!
Really cosy, nice pocket in Ipswich Town. Came here with family and thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. They tasted light and were seasoned well. We tried lobster for the first time and it was a pleasant surprise! Only issue is that for the small portions we chose the price was rather high. Great front staff.
A little gem in the middle of Ipswich, service was excellent, staff attentive, but not overly so, food was excellent, we had scallops to start, fresh, tasty wonderful sauce, then on to mains, seafood casserole, wow best dish I've had in a long time, everything was lovely and fresh, tasty ,we didn't have to wait long for anything.
I can highly recommend this restaurant if you get the chance to go, go, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent grilled fish, prawns and squid! Tasty veggies! Large portions! Well worth the price!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with my experience.
The menu offers a fantastic selection of seafood options, each of which is expertly prepared and bursting with flavor.
I particularly enjoyed the platter, which featured a generous portion of prawns, calamari, mussels, fish and fries, it was the perfect choice for sharing with my friends.
The wine selection was also impressive, with a variety of options that perfectly complemented the seafood dishes on offer.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming.
Very enjoyable meal of large cod, chips, mushy peas and washed down with a beer. Not the cheapest about at just under £25,but was it worth it. Cod was succulant and tasty with a light crisp batter. Flavoursome chunky chips, and delicious mushy peas. Not a price I would usually pay for fish and chips, but yes well worth it. Staff were excellent.
We went in randomly one Sunday afternoon and are so glad we did!
We opted for the Ocean Platter - Wow!! It really was amazing! The whole plate was fresh and delicious! Massive prawns, mussels, calamari, scallops, grilled fish! There are a variety of side dishes to chose from; we opted for salad and baby potatoes which were just as tasty!
For drinks I had a smoothie which again, you could taste was fresh, my partner went for a beer which he enjoyed.
The whole place is clean, warm and inviting. The staff were fab, although we did find getting their attention a struggle when we needed help with our order. That being said, everyone was friendly and very helpful.
Excellent food and very reasonable prices 👌

It's almost impossible to find anything better in the UK. The fact that all seafood is fresh, not frozen, and prepared by skilled chefs can give you an explosion of flavor. We were incredibly pleased indeed. Prices were very reasonable for such high quality. I strongly recommend
We walked in thinking we had made reservations but it seemed the restaurant didn't us down. However, the hostess was very kind and offered us a table near the front door... we didn't mind and were happy we got seated because the restaurant was already packed.
For Starters we ordered the pan fried shrimp and the calamari. Oh My! The shrimp were succulent and the calamari were tender and both were very yummy.
For our entrees, we ordered the Fish Cakes and the Sword Fish with orange sauce. Both were delicious and the flavors exceeded our expectations.
The restaurant has a casual atmosphere but a first class service... absolutely top notch.
The prices are fair and affordable for this top quality seafood.
This was definitely a dining experience not to be forgotten.
What a fantastic place.. we have eaten sea food from all over and have to admit it was very fresh and satisfying.
We booked our table and confirmed with staff.
On the night we got seated on arrival with the arrangements made.
Oysters from Colchester was a hit the person who had them said better than the ones eaten in France.. and very fresh.
We had a good selection of different fish.. and squid which again was cooked differently but was said to also be very good.
The salmon and plaice was also very fresh and very good and also the sea bass!
New potatoes very good and the chips also better than most places.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Overall a very good experience.
