Great service in pleasant room. The menu was simplified due to covid, but the food was really well prepared. Great fresh quality ingredients and good wine list. As we stayed overnight, I can recommend the breakfast. Brilliant sausages and black pudding.

We booked an afternoon within the hotel and really enjoyed the selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam. Given the restaurant is situated on a hill it provides great views of the area.

We stayed in the hotel so only had breakfast in the restaurant. A good selection of food but had to ask for more butter every morning. I recommend the porridge. The hot food from the buffet was tasty and a choice of fried or scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms, and potato hash browns. But all served on a cold plate! So the food cooled down too quickly!

Best fish and chips I've ever had (and I've had alot). Perfect fish. Crispy batter throughout and perfect fish no bones at all. Spot on chips which were crispy on the outside and fluffy potato on the inside. Cant fault that meal at all! Waiter fella was really nice as well. Good ambience for a late meal (8.45). Would deff go back for this meal alone!
