I had a bar meal here with some friends on Tuesday. The staff were fantastic and friendly. The food was delicious with quick service and the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this establishment.

The manager was very nice and friendly. Decent beers and choice of food. Rooms decent for the price. Breakfast tasty and filling. Great country type pub that I'd visit again.
A village pub tucked away in a quite remote hamlet, it goes to show that if you're good you'll have customers.
We went for a Sunday lunch, we were put in the conservatory which felt a bit bland and would have preferred the main pub area (divided into various areas) but obviously we were at the tail end if the bookings.
Service was prompt and the lunch was good with decent starters and a good Sunday roast.
Great locals pub which although part of a chain doesn’t feel like it. Staff were friendly, helpful and seemed like a happy team. Fresh milk for tea/coffee instead of UHT was a nice touch & the shower was excellent

Stopped while passing through due to main road being closed and glad we did .wonderful cosy country pub with friendly staff good selection of alcoholic drinks and a fantastic food menu.
We had sunday lunch which was absolutely amazing everything on the plate was very tasty and perfectly cooked .....the beef was beautifully cooked and taste when it melted in your mouth was to die for .
We will definitely be going back to sample other menu items .

Only went for an evening meal with friends, to try it out, as we had heard good things about the food. Must say the place is very well decorated and well layed out with nice toilets. The food was well presented and tasty, however I thought the prices were a little high but I suppose that's the way things are going in these troubled times.
Brilliant place 👏, myself and my wife came here for our wedding anniversary, on arrival we were greated by astoria who was absolutely superb she couldn't do enough for us , she is a absolute asset to the establishment, a big thanks to Andy he was brilliant, the breakfast was excellent 😀 thanks to chef 👨🍳 can't wait to return many thanks Phil and Clair Wilson
Travelled here for Sunday lunch today. The service was warm and friendly. There was a pot of dominoes on the table, this was a lovely touch. We enjoyed a game while waiting and in between courses. The Sunday dinner was well presented and really tasty. Lovely place to come with family, friends and a cute romantic date. Thanks!!! Shanice
Visited during stay in Kendal. Beautiful food, fantastic service and atmosphere and dog friendly which is a huge bonus for us 😊thank you. Didn't stay so can't comment on rooms.
