We visited Jintana Ambelside last month and were blown away with the food and the service. A superb range of vegetarian options.
As we were in Kendal this week, we decided to Jintana Kendal a try.
Every bit as good - the best Thai food I've ever had - and excellent service.

Delicious starters !!! Great red curry and pad Thai. Definitely need to work on better desserts 😞 Ice cream were absolutely horrible- tasteless unfortunately. Staff friendly but very slow.
Absolutely brilliant Thai food at this restaurant, we opted for the spicer dishes and Jitana did not disappoint.
I have been here before but didnt try too many meals. On this trip my Fiance and I tried a few dishes.
We had the satay mixed starter. This is a mixed platter and provided a great variety of dishes and flavours, I loved the chilli beef salad.
We then tried chicken sweet and sour, jungle chicken curry and Larb.
All of the dishes were very fresh
And packed with flavour.
The service was friendly but professional.

First of all, I am surprised at some of the poor reviews people have written about this place...this restaurant is amazing. It has been a while since we last went to Thailand bur this restaurant is by far the closest we've got to feeling like we was back there. The food was so tasty, and so authentic. Plenty amount of food - we left full. Yes this restaurant has high prices but its pretty obvious as to why they charge the prices they do, such as: the high quality of the meals, the beautiful decor, you are in the lake district, this is not an english gastropub (far too many people comparing prices of this restaurant to pub grub, nonsense reviews!). The staff here were so welcoming and friendly, even ensured our toddler was having a nice time.
We had the Jintana sharing platter starter, so tasty and a lovely variety. Then we both had a chicken massaman with coconut rice - huge depth in flavour of the curry sauce, simply heaven. Plenty of food for sure.
You will not be disappointed if you come to this restaurant, I could not find any faults whatsoever with it. We was happy with our whole experience here, food, staff, price, ambience was 10/10 for us.
Look forward to returning here when we next up in the lakes. Thanks so much for a great meal to end our weekend in the lakes.
We stopped over for night stay at Kendal before proceeding to hike Scafell peak. The Resturant was just so authentic and food was awesome. Must go place for meal before or after hiking. Post hiking we returned back for early meal and it didn’t disappoint. Good service and helpful staff!!
The service was good and the Thai duck red curry with jasmine rice was tasty and the sticky rice with mango and vanilla ice cream for dessert was great.
Friendly staff, fabulous food, nice atmosphere, sat near the door as it was a bit cooler there and a bit quieter, would recommend
First stop on my quest to try every thai restaurant in kendal, we got take out and it was amazing. Staff were really lovely and helpful, menu was really accomodation for vegetarians and vegans, food was served super fast. We got the pad thai with yellow noodles and sticky rice, and the thai green curry with sticky rice, both dishes were amazing
Amazing food, such a friendly bunch of staff so , we made to the restaurant around 8:40 ISH and we were around 8 pupil, the staff have put. Table for us with in 10 mins or so, they made sure we were comfortable, the service was exceptional, food was amazingly good, tasty and each dishes plate presentation is also exceptional, the desert was out of the world has to order 2wice. If you are staying in Kendal or visiting Kendal so visit Jintana Thai . We had a pleasant experience thank you Jintana
