The Bakery At No. 4

The Bakery at No.4 baked our wedding cake - it was so beautiful and tasted amazing! We wanted a three tiered simple but elegant cake with a cascade of sugar flowers to match our wedding bouquets. It really was incredible how stunning the cake was and it was a real centrepiece. A number of guests commented that it was the best wedding cake they'd ever eaten. We would highly recommend the Bakery at No.4 if you are looking for a special occasion cake! Also, since picking this bakery for our wedding cake we made sure to pop in whenever we were in the area and their daily selection of cakes and coffee are really delicious too!

We got our wedding cake from The Bakery at No.4 and it was superb! We are currently living in Devon so didn’t know Kendal very well and we chose The Bakery based off their reviews, website and photos and they definitely lived up to expectation. We went to the cake tasting and were blown away with the variants of cake flavours on offer and came out with totally different flavours than we went in wanting! We ordered a semi-naked cake with 3 different flavoured layers – raspberry & white chocolate, lemon & elderflower and chocolate Guinness. Our cake went down a storm at our wedding, everyone loved the flavours and guests since have commented on how good the cake looked/tasted! Thank you so much Melissa and we will pop in for a cake and coffee next time we are in Kendal.

A very well hidden little gem, filled with many, many cakes. There is a charm to this place which pictures really can't justify, somehow managing to feel both old worldly and modern at the same time. The cakes are excellent, the staff friendly and cheerful plus they have toys for the kids to play with. Top place, well worth a visit.
