This place is amazing. And the lady, Crisrina is super lovely. Being portuguese I was really happy to find this place, because I was working in town for several weeks and it felt good to have some food that transported me home.

Superb home cooked Portuguese. This is one of those gems: they look ordinary, in an ordinary street, but the food is fantastic. And of course it’s Portuguese/ Madeiran to be precise, so there is great coffee and custard tarts (pasteis de nata)

Amazing meal this afternoon at picapau!
Very friendly welcoming atmosphere went through the menu with us to make sure we each got something we would love, lovely outdoor and indoor seating
I got the tuna salad which had been got fresh from the market that morning, it was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked with beautiful flavours, my partner got the octopus which was equally as stunning
The coffee is also really good matched my pallette perfectly, we got a cake to go as we were too stuffed but they looked too good!

One of our favourite places to eat & certainly the one we visit the most. Don't be fooled by it looking like a cafe. They serve amazing food and the owners are so friendly. They often do special dishes at weekends as well. It feels like you are in a lovely cafe abroad somewhere when you are there.
