Always good food and a very friendly pub. The homemade steak pie is the best, but always look at the special board! I had the wild boar burger (see pic)

The vibe - just amazing! Friendly, welcoming and warm. Such a chilled environment where you can relax and enjoy great drinks and food.
The staff - all the staff smile and are happy to help.
The food - oh my!!! Gorgeous and such great value.
The drinks - I’ve never had a bad pint!!! And the Pepsi is great.
Only downside - it’s not great access for disabled people but I’m sure they’d open the bottom door if asked.
I cannot recommend this place enough and I encourage anyone to visit (as long as your not a dipstick - don’t want anyone to spoil the vibe).
Been coming here for years.have not had any bad experiences. My hands down favorite pub in Hull. Old fashioned furniture and vibes.

A fantastic find. Sunday lunch was delicious! Properly seasoned food and plenty of it, so much so I couldn't finish. Our 5 year old granddaughter was very impressed with her Roast Pork and her Grandpa's cauliflower. (She doesn't like Yorkshire Puds so swapped with him!) Will definitely return. Highly recommend you book a table judging by the queue outside before the doors had even opened!
Situated on the Marina, it is an absolutely fantastic place
For lunch, I had fish and chips with mushy peas and meat pie with homemade chips
Followed by desert, homemade brownies & cream were beautiful
It's only a very tiny tiny inconvenience I have to mention. Bit nit picky but asked for more sauces, and I was acknowledged, but no extra sauce arrived
But Highy recommend this place and I definitely will be back
Lovely pub on the banks of the Humber..decent range of ales and excellent menu which is all top quality.Highly recommended and worth the walk from the town centre.
Lovely traditional pub. We had Sunday lunch and sat outside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and prices reasonable. Not far from redevelopment area of shops and cafés
Great food and good beer. Interesting surroundings. Something of a rabbit warren inside but once findings the rest rooms and overcoming some shallow steps, no problems. Little difficult entering as up steps from the street. Comfy surroundings inside with good service behind the bar.
What a great place to eat! Very reasonably priced, tasty food and large portions. Honestly, I struggled to finish mine but I'm not complaining.
Fantastic location and plenty of tables outside. Dogs are welcome outside.
Highly recommend this place and look forward to going back.
Had a great time eating from Christmas menu and drinking from large selection of beers. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Food was piping hot from kitchen, tasty and good sized portions. I will be back in the Summer, cheers
