A lovely rustic Jamaican themed eatery. We couldn't fault anything, however our intention was to have curried goat but we had the Sunday lunch and it was amazing. You have to try it, even it's only a drink you want. Plenty of deals advertised on the windows, go on and give it a go 👍 Irie

Nice place for Caribbean food and cocktails, best in Hull and Yorkshire. Reggae music all day long and they even have a dj on Friday and Saturday nights and live music on first Sunday.

I went to roots when it first opened pre covid, years ago! And going back now, it's just gotten better. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food, presented stunningly. The atmosphere is chilled, and open to any occasion. Took my kids (17 year old twins) and it was simply perfect. Son has lamb chops, my pescetarian daughter had the shrimp, and as I eat small amounts (barbaric surgery 6 years ago) I ordered from the small bites menu and was stuffed! Highly recommended, perfect for a midweek chill out meal, or a weekend night out.

Took the wife and kids, it was busy night as there was a live music session on and it was Notting Hill carnival weekend . The atmosphere was lively and the vibes was good.
They gave us a table upstairs away from the bar, the food was delicious and came in excellent time with plantains and rice and peas cooked to perfection.
Decor was properly authentic and resembled the Carribeans style very closely.
Great food and very good tentative service. Wouldn’t recommend it for very young children after 6/7pm as it becomes a rocking bar but 100% recommend a visit here for food rum and vibes

We got takeaway cocktails. They managed to make 18 cocktails in less than 15 minutes which is impressive in itself.
Had a convoy of two staff members come with us to put drinks in the car and suggested their best idea of how to get them back without spilling anything.
Cocktails tasted great, could definitely taste the rum, just how we like our drinks!!
