Nineteen Restaurant & Bar

I arranged a golf day for 36 players. The course is challenging and requires thought to play well. The effort is well worth it. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We had bacon rolls and tea/coffee on arrival and meat pie followed by apple crumble and cream after. Food was excellent and a great day was had by all.

Had a great Sunday catch-up with my brother here. We started by having a late lunch at the club’s busy restaurant ‘Nineteen’. Wow. Just what we needed. I had the fish & chips — brother had their burger. Both were full… but I had to have one of their desserts after seeing the menu. Will definitely come again! (We played on the driving range afterwards!!)

We decided to give this place a try for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration and we booked a table for ten people on a Saturday night. It was the right decision with all six adults and four children being well pleased with both the main course and desserts and returning ten clean plates from both our courses, so nothing to take home for the dogs. There were three vegetarians among us and they had a good selection to choose from, and the carnivores among us were also presented with a good variety of options. We didn't have starters, so I can't comment on them, but I would imagine it would be similar, judging by what we were served with. The bottom line is excellent food, in a pleasant and roomy space with a good selection of menu options at a reasonable price, all served by attentive staff and plenty of on-site parking. We'll be returning next time we want to dine out locally.
