7 of us Went in today to celebrate my mums birthday. Although it was busy we were seen straight away and food arrived quickly. The sandwiches were delicious and the buns were so nice. A lovely pot of tea topped it off. A great thing about the place is that there is a vinyl player and Rod Stewart was playing, my mums favourite ! Reasonably priced and lovely staff. If you're in the town centre get yourself in. Will be back really soon xx
Everytime my daughter and i visit the city center there is no where else we go, great good food and lots of it, the best customer service by far, and the best house coffee anywhere would highly recommend good price also � ☺

came with my mom on sunday after a little shopping trip around 2:30ish (we didn’t check the closing times), we both got a sandwich and a coffee, food arrived really quickly, and the portion was really big for the price (£3.95, we got a huge sandwich and a side of crisps, we both left full). coffee was delicious, lots of variety, atmosphere was amazing and welcoming. i asked for a takeaway cup for my coffee after paying and the lady as staff were putting furniture away and we didn’t want to hold them up, lady from the kitchen came and spoke to us and said we don’t have to go, they’re only washing up, and we had a really lovely chat with her before leaving. could not recommend enough, the atmosphere, staff and food is fantastic and really affordable 💓
Nice cup of coffee from a family run café in a quiet street, with a couple of outside tables in the morning sun.
Great place to come, can get quite busy but always worth waiting for a seat. The food is lovely and the coffees are always a welcomed treat. This is our usual to eat at and would not say go elsewhere, great service, inviting place and lovely food.
Very nice food and a lovely welcoming environment. Our weekly go to. Definitely recommend if u want a warm feel homemade meal.
Absolutely great place couldn't recommend enough menu is cheap and affordable with many different tasty meals/snacks to choose from! Big thank you to tony the waitress! so sweet and fast with order and bill and assuring customer is happy… always make me feel welcome!:)
Small locally run cafe, staff are nice, polite and do there best to get people there food quickly and that they enjoy being there. Cheapest breakfast you'll find around, classic cafe dishes available

We eat regularly at The Coffee House have done for many years, sad to see its up for sale. We visited today 27.1.23 its was extremely busy with limited staff, but as always great food & service & Terri our server was just amazing considering the cafe was full & she was taking orders & serving during a very busy time. I hope if it does sell it remains a cafe & the staff jobs are safe.
Lovely warm welcoming cafe, staff very welcoming and friendly, food is good, definitely value for money, very busy which is good for business, Toni the waitress is amazing, she goes above and beyond nothing is to much trouble, she needs a medal for running front of house on her own the way she does when it's so busy. Would really recommend.
