On top of good staff there food is good especially for the price. But they get the little things right which is why I go back. E.g the hot water tank for the unlimited tea on breakfast has no limescale inside, sad as it seems most places seem to skip these little things. It is more of an adult pub but a great kids menu and my children like going back due to the food and how nice the staff are. Top to bottom it's rite

Came in this Sunday for the Arsenal v United game. First time trying hop pole and was a good vibe to be in. Alex (the tall one) was very chatty and friendly. Made me and my pals feel very welcome and has persuaded us to come back for the next game. From perfectly poured pints to a stunning atmosphere, can’t go wrong. Will be returning, thanks Alex
Staff were exceptionally helpful. We had a child who is very aĺlergic to milk and eggs and staff were extremely thoughtful and helpful.
We were in the end small room. The room was very squashed and very warm as there were no opening windows. (We were a big party and had added two extra people on the day so this may have been why we were squashed)

The menus choice and quality of our food was amazing. A wonderful experience. We rarely go out to eat but have been so taken with The Hop Pole that we've been for lunch 4 times in the last 6 weeks. And I'm going again next week 😊.

Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I booked the day before on line to be sure of a table to attend with an elderly mother in a wheelchair . I travelled down from Newcastle so needed to plan ahead . We were greeted with a smile by the lady . All was well until I requested the “Sunday Best Turkey dinner “ apparently not available as were all the other Sunday Best lunches . This is advertised on the website and at each table ! I researched this prior to booking as we were on foot and it was then too late to go further a field . To say we were disappointed was an understatement. Website needs to be updated please ! Whilst mums gammon and chips were lovely it wasn’t a turkey dinner ! PLEASE UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE OR CAN SENIOR MANAGEMENT ASSIST AND SUPPLY THE FOOD ! FYI My salmon dish was very good indeed !
Very tasty lunch at the Hop Pole on Willerby Road. We chose from the 2 for £10.50 menu and selected fish, chips & peas and gammon steak from plenty of options. Added fruit cider for drinks. Both meals were brought by friendly staff in good time. Excellent value from this popular public house. Recommended.
This food is what dreams are made of ❤️ fantastic meal! Starter of Southern fried chicken and halloumi fries, salmon sizzler and the goodfella burger for mains. So much flavour!
Enjoying the revamped Hop Pole and the new menu is delicious and very reasonably priced. I think some consideration should have been given to the size of the bar in comparison to the number of tables and, therefore, number of customers, as every time we've been in the queues have been terrible. More bar staff would be good too. However this won't stop us going back
